"Effortless Backup and Compliance with Excellent Support"
4/5
What do you like best about BackBox?

I love how BackBox is easy to use, especially when setting up new backup and Intellicheck jobs, which has simplified training new users on the platform. The support provided by BackBox has been fantastic, always willing to work with us and assist if we have any questions, which contributes significantly to our positive experience. Additionally, the platform itself is intuitive and simplifies the process of building and automating new jobs or scripts, allowing us to focus on testing and automating tasks within our environment efficiently. Moreover, the initial setup of BackBox was straightforward, and while time-consuming due to the number of checks we've built, each check is individually easy to build, and BackBox support is always ready to help. The supportability and ease of training new users were key reasons for switching from Joval, and we've been very satisfied with our decision. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BackBox?

I looked at using the vulnerability management tool in BackBox, and found that it doesn't add enough value compared to other vulnerability management tools to warrant switching from our existing toolset. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Unique Automation and Resilience for Enterprise IT"
3.5/5
What do you like best about BackBox?

The automation is pretty unique and there is a strong focus on the IT resilience that helps many of our larger and enterprise clients. Also it appears we are able to quickly recover from cyberattacks with the back end work that is allowed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BackBox?

The UI is a little clunky and doesn't have a lot of advanced features to help with analytics and reporting. We want to be able to dive deep into the performance, but sometimes we are limited Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Portable and Clear Reporting, But Needs Mobile App and Broader Device Support"
4.5/5
What do you like best about BackBox?

I find the portability of BackBox to be of great value. I will be able to implement it on-site without installing a single software and get the important security information. I also like the fact that the reporting functions are clear and concise, and it is therefore easy to present complex technical findings to non-technical clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BackBox?

It is a bit hard to analyse on the go due to the absence of a specific mobile application. In addition, the software may be improved to support other less popular devices. More efficient creation on individual client report would also be better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It’s easy to deploy and easy to manage. The restore process is straightforward, and it restores almost everything in the list. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Sometimes one job, or even multiple jobs, fail. In most cases it doesn’t seem related to the backbox itself, but it still takes time to resolve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"BackBox automation finally made our security posture predictable"
4.5/5
What do you like best about BackBox?

BackBox has helped to automate our intricate deployment pipelines. I particularly like that it can unify dissimilar systems and our release process became incredibly smooth. Another advantage of the agent-based automation is the ability to execute tasks on designated servers that is invaluable to our old applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BackBox?

Although BackBox is not lightweight, the initial configuration was somewhat overwhelming to our smaller team. More ready-built automation templates of frequently used cybersecurity operations would also be of interest to me to accelerate the initial adoption. Once in a while, to find the path to the specific setting, one might have to dig through documentation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
