In addition to not backuping all the information you want backed-up, making it impossible to turn off Auto-Renew, they are also extremely poor in the billing area - I could never get them to even send me a properly made invoice **What do you dislike about Backblaze Computer Backup?** Horrible service: doesn't back up all the things you want/need backed-up No help people: they make it impossible to contact them to get help Can't get a real properly filled out business invoice They make it impossible to turn off the auto-renewal In order to stop auto-renewal you must cancel your account, also permanently deleting all backups - even if you still have a year left on your already paid for subscription **What problems is Backblaze Computer Backup solving and how is that benefiting you?** They are supposedly a file backbup system. I think they do this to some degree but they do it extremely poorly. I wanted to share that you can reach our support agents at www.backblaze.com/help (we have live chat Monday through Friday) and you can open a ticket with our agents there as well. If there were issues with backing up, they should be able to assist you, however if you have product feedback, we'd appreciate you sharing that with our product management team who can be reached at: productfeedback@backblaze.com. I understand the frustration about auto-renewing - I believe we default to that behavior so ensure that no data gets lost if someone forgets to put down a card to manually renew their service, however I have shared that feedback along with the invoicing issue you had with our Computer Backup product team for review as well! ### 2. Great system! Terrible Customer Support! **Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Jarrett R. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** September 11, 2020 **What do you like best about Backblaze Computer Backup?** I thoroughly enjoyed how easy it was to login and access all that I had uploaded in minutes. **What do you dislike about Backblaze Computer Backup?** I did not appreciate the customer service from Forrest McDonald, a Support Technician at Backblaze. Before I go further, I take full responsibility for not caring enough to pay attention to the 30 day window that data stays stored on Backblaze. *For example, if you backup an external hard drive (which was the case for me) and then unplug it, naively thinking it will be stored longer... the service will keep backing up the computer that said external hard drive was connected to and after 30 days, the external hard drive will no longer be backed up. Where I have a problem is with the way Forrest McDonald addressed this very upset and distraught person, me. In the first email I explained that I was aware of how the service worked and that I wanted to inquire about recovering this lost external HD from the Backblaze side. Long story short, Forrest repeated himself by literally copy+pasting his last email, and then proceeded to explain the thing I had already stated I understood in the very first email. ALL-IN-ALL, I am a music producer and from my own mistake, lost hundreds of unfinished works and ALSO can attest that Forrest McDonald, has no heart when it comes to others misfortune. We are in the information age, this is why support and care in a data recovery business is of utmost importance. I am crushed from my mistake and hurt that someone could respond with no solution, or condolences at the least.
