What do you dislike about Azure Site Recovery? 1) During any failover we have manualy switch from region1 to region 2 if this could become automatic will help lots. 2) Even INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY person required cloud knowledge to deal with this normal user can't use this. 3) when it's comes to pricing I think if it could be get little more cheaper then this price will help. 4)if we can get more details in monitoring for projected machine . 5) it's take lot of bandwith. It's help to perform any maintenance activities on site it's also help when our site goes down at one region we have an option to get all the data available through another region whitout impacting the flow of business. The Azure Site Recovery (ASR) the best-to-best solution which I deployed and worked as DR solution. ASR has various option to enable your DR solution for your business applications. Azure RTO is taking very less time and it has various option and internal integration which makes and managing the infra is easy. We have used to back and DR solution as well. As admin i would recommend ASR but one request to MS to allow multiple storage solution to integrate with ASR rather than azure storage. ASR is extremely easy to use and test. It starts out basic for doing region to region failover but you can easily reconfigure it per VM to meet your needs. I wish they wrapped it into more products and features. Clients may be utilizing azure files with azure VMs but you have to perform 2 separate actions to do a test failover. We have most of our environments replicating to East US to dispere our footprint. We are able to effectively and quite easily test the ASR VMs using the test failover button.
