## Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) Reviews
  ### 1. Strong Kubernetes Service for Enterprise Workloads

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shivamm S. | Senior Software Engineer 1 (AI Engineer), CTO - AI Labs, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)?**

What I like best about AKS is that it simplifies Kubernetes management a lot compared to handling clusters manually. It integrates well with the Azure ecosystem, scales reliably, and makes container orchestration easier for enterprise applications. I also like the monitoring and deployment experience with Azure tools.

**What do you dislike about Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)?**

AKS can feel complex for beginners, especially when troubleshooting networking or scaling issues. Cost management and cluster configuration also require some experience, otherwise it’s easy to overprovision resources.

**What problems is Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

AKS helps manage containerized applications more efficiently by simplifying deployment, scaling, and orchestration. It has helped improve application reliability, automate deployments, and reduce infrastructure management effort for microservices-based workloads.

  ### 2. Great Kubernetes Platform Service by Azure

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anurag Y. | Consultant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)?**

Azure Kubernetes Service is great to work with and I like that it integrates easily with other technology and tools in the Azure ecosystem. We have been using it to containerize our solution for over 2 years now for our client. It also has great interface which is easy to navigate and I like that a lot while working with it.

**What do you dislike about Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)?**

There are some limitation like every tool. Sometime like the provisioning of new cluster or scaling of node takes several minute which feels slow and could be improved upon. I feel the documentation could be upgraded as well.

**What problems is Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been running our large scale backend application in an Azure kubernetes cluster that integrates with ML models to provide sales forecasts for our clients based on historical data. Our workloads are very much data-intensive and spreads across multiple components — API services, data processing pipelines, and model inference tasks all this needs to scale dynamically, run reliably, and integrate with other Azure services like Blob Storage, Azure Key Vault, and Azure Monitor.

We also utilize AKS with other tools at Azure to help with logging which keep the backend up and running without a lot of manual intervention.

  ### 3. Simplify Maintenance but Improve Necessary in Deployment

Management of servers like patch updates and monitoring is a difficult task for a normal user. To handle such an environment an organization needs much expertise and experienced people. The cost of data transfer is high. It is also difficult to understand the pricing. Azure should have a better support team to make more huge customers.

**Recommendations to others considering Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS):**

If you want to make infra management easy the should go for Azure.

  ### 44. Best way to do K8S on Azure

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 28, 2022

**What do you like best about Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)?**

Azure AKS has come a long way in the last couple of years. It's fairly stable, and the overall platform is the best K8S experience I've found in Azure. The Azure VNet / CNI integration is very helpful in a high-security environment. Microsoft is also quite responsive on production support.

**What do you dislike about Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)?**

As is often the case in Azure, AKS support for new services comes with compromises. Want to run virtual kubelets ("ACI Connector") on a VNet? Sure, but you're going to be missing Managed Identity. There are some pitfalls, and even with top tier support MS doesn't always make them obvious ahead of time.

**What problems is Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

AKS lets us run containers at scale and gives our platform team a great point to build its offerings around. AKS is a bit of a Swiss Army knife – there's not much you can't do with it if you try hard enough.

**What problems is Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps you with ease of deploying and managing servers.
It helped me because I didn't need to take care of the servers, and only care about my code.

  ### 50. A real leader of cloud technologies

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mudasar Y. | Principal Devops Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)?**

In last few years, Azure shows a strong competitor in Cloud technologies, especially AWS. Now we can say, both providers have the same services. Especially Azure has a very stong directory structure that is missing in AWS

**What do you dislike about Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)?**

Microsoft Azure console is more complex than Amazon web services. Even Azure console is more smooth but you need to navigate your mouse too much.

**What problems is Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest advantage of using Azure is its billing based on per minute. In my experience, i have saved a lot of money on different projects when we need machines only for few minutes.
2nd biggest is, integration of active directory with Azure.
