IoT Hub is an Azure Cloud Resource that needs to be integrated with your existing web application architecture. It's powerful but requires some careful planning to realize some of the benefits described above. There's honestly not anything significant on the "dislike" list. Just overcoming a learning curve. Documentation is a little bit light but...that's in the context of Microsoft. E.g. anything from Microsoft, while MS's documentation may itself be light, the community of enterprise professionals consuming and flexing the muscles of these tools is strong.
