I have a team of about 16 of us and we’re constantly sharing documents utilizing this service.

**Reviewed by:** Karandeep B. | Mr, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2019

**What do you like best about Azure Databricks?**

A very easy and painless integration of this software with Apache spark is savior. The integration with other Azure services is just cherry on the cake. In our team It became easy to collaborate with other teams over the globe over a shared project. The dynamic requirements of the shared environment was fulfilled with Azure Databricks. It is a lot easier to use and provide a high speed storage solution to other azure services. The Security controls on this with all the monitoring tools is a match to solve machine learning problems. Plus the interactive notebook environment is very user friendly and proves up to GUI benchmarks.

**What do you dislike about Azure Databricks?**

I genuinely did not find any issues with this product. The features related to this product can vary in terms of requirements. Like for some Apache collaboration with this product can seem unusual. Yeah on terms of usability I can say I wish if the creation and navigation could be made easier for a first timers.

**Recommendations to others considering Azure Databricks:**

It can be expensive but we are using it to transform large data and it is easy to integrate as well collaborate plus you pay for the support on the product which adds up to a reasonable price. Try it out and see how easier it is to implement.

**What problems is Azure Databricks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using this to transform the data so it can be passed onto any other core related database or other services. It helps save a lot of time as scheduling the data and the tasks for the project is very easy here. The secure cloud storage and also is optimized which as a hole has helped us to move further with this. We purchased this one for mainly the reasons related to reliability, data flow and flexibility.

**What do you like best about Azure Databricks?**

The most desirable component of Azure Databricks is its interactive workspace. This aspect is unsurprisingly one of the main selling points of Databricks, and there's a reason why. Communication between data engineers and data scientists is not an easy problem to solve. Azure Databricks helps the communication and working channel.

**What do you dislike about Azure Databricks?**

Azure Databricks is customizable, but not as customizable as one would hope for a Microsoft product. Additionally, the product has more latency than competing software.

**Recommendations to others considering Azure Databricks:**

The number of products dealing with data science and data engineering is exploding. I'd recommend trying out Databricks and see if it does what you're looking for. You could take the approach of trying everything. I woulnd't do that, though.

**What problems is Azure Databricks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Azure Databricks is used for modeling financial time-series and economics/business data. The benefits have been increased communication between the various individuals involved in the data generated and analysis line of work.

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2019

**What do you like best about Azure Databricks?**

Azure databricks makes it easy to manage, create and deploy distributed applications. It is better than any other tool that I have used.It is intuitive and easy to use and the integration between the compute and the code is good and it also allows a level of decoupling between the clusters which makes the process faster and saves time.

**What do you dislike about Azure Databricks?**

The customer support is not upto the standards that we would expect from Azure. The optimization of the clusters is not transparent and it may be because of the proprietary product.

**What problems is Azure Databricks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Azure databricks simplifies the application development process of distributed applications in general. This helps in delivering the features faster to the client. Also new features like support for Graphical Processing Unit can be added easily.

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2018

**What do you like best about Azure Databricks?**

It stores unstructured data in large amounts that cab be accessed and processed by BI Tools as wells as other statistical programming languages such as 'R' and 'Python'. The best part is that it is accessible by several other datasources, tools and technologies and other data sources and files can also be used as the enterprise data sources.
