"Azure Data Studio: Seamless Azure SQL Integration and a Productivity Boost"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Azure Data Studio?

Azure Data Studio is a fantastic tool for database management. The integration with Azure SQL Server is outstanding — connecting to SQL Server instances is seamless, and the query editor with IntelliSense makes writing and optimizing queries very efficient. I particularly appreciate the built-in support for SQL Server extensions, the clean and modern interface, and the ability to manage multiple database connections in one place. It has significantly improved my productivity as a developer working daily with Azure SQL databases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Azure Data Studio?

The initial setup and configuration can sometimes be a bit complex for new users, especially when managing extensions and configuring connections. Performance can also feel sluggish when handling very large query result sets. It would be great to have more built-in templates and better documentation for some advanced features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Azure Data Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before we started using Azure Data Studio, managing and querying Azure SQL Server databases meant constantly switching between multiple tools, which slowed down development. With Azure Data Studio, we now have one unified interface for our database operations. It has noticeably reduced the time we spend on administration tasks, supports faster SQL query development thanks to IntelliSense, and makes it easier to monitor and troubleshoot our Azure SQL Server instances. Overall, it has improved our team’s productivity and helped streamline our development workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
