Sql Operations Studio is a Microsoft product used for managing Sql server. Its related to the DevOps . Its a new product and provide unique features like widgets, terminal window for proper and easy functionality of the product. Widgets are free to move around the product with edit properties. I Can write all the Transact Sql code in. Its pretty secured and we use it functionally. The tools and visual interface are very good as compared to other sql tools. Visual interface of this software is best d compared to the old sql tools. We can have backup of database efficiently. It's works very good when we are in server sites. Number of admin tasks that can be done here though. Easy to check the data definitions by single clicking also we can paste query scripts. It's lightweight easy to install. It's lightweight and quick to install. When users come to me asking if they can get SSMS, I generally point them to SQLOPS first. It handles most things people need to do. There are plenty of admin tasks that can be done here too. I like that I can now give a SQL client to my mac users. I like that I can paste a script into a query window and easily right-click an object to see its definition rather than having to find it in the object explorer. I haven't quite gotten used to the interface after having used SSMS for so many years, but it's useful when I'm on a server that doesn't have SQL installed. For example when I'm on a server hosting any given app, it's nice to have a lightweight query tool I can put on that server to quickly examine the apps associated database without loading it down with SSMS. As an admin, I don't have any visibility into everything, so I have to switch back and forth between SQLOPS and SSMS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Azure Data Studio solving and how is that benefiting you? Lightweight, quick to set up and start using so I recommend it to users that don't need all of the features of SSMS. It's a good product and I'm sure there will be more benefits as time goes on, but for right now, it's just a tool I use as a quick interface when SSMS isn't available.
