"Azure AD review"

What do you like best?

Azure AD allows developers to configure apps with granular permissions that can be built to talk to almost all the Microsoft APIs. Also, they abstract multitenant access protocols making it seamless and accessible across different tenants.

What do you dislike?

Microsoft offers several places to register Web Apps, for eg. one can do it in Azure AD or from Microsoft Application Portal. These apps ultimately converge in the background, making it available and synched at all the places, but this can confuse a developer sometimes.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

It provides a platform for registering multiple apps, configures granular security permissions, and provides Oauth as well as SSO support.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are creating several Apps in Azure AD that our backend services use to interact with various Graph APIs. Each app serves a different purpose and asks permissions granularly, which helps us and customers feel secure about the data that the app is requesting. We have so far built integrations with Outlook, O365, MS Teams etc via Azure AD Web Apps.

"Azure Active Directory for Developers review"

What do you like best?

It has so many unique features. Profile management is very simple here. This tool is very helpful when you have to create and publish webapis on the internet. It also has a cloud service. It is consists of good authentication service, open-source libraries and configuration.

What do you dislike?

There are still many functions which aren't fully developed yet. Till now there is no way to find out the use of accounts. Also pricing of this tool is too high as compared to the features provided by it. Also it is not easy for a beginner.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

It is a good software so it is highly recommended by me.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It is highly customizable and scalable and multi-factor authentication works great here. In my industry it is used for ID and access management but due to high pricing of this product, I recently switched to another software. But it is also a good customizable tool.

"Best tool for Developers - Microsoft Azure Active Directory"

What do you like best?

It is the best tool to create and publish webapis on internet with lots of features of authentication. It also provides many great benefits of a cloud service. It’s the complete platform that consists of a authentication service, open-source libraries, application registration and configuration, full developer documentation, code samples, and other developer content. It provides authentication for multi-tenant as well for different types of platform authentication like facebook, google and twitter etc.

What do you dislike?

Some features are still immature. Need to better enable the use of app accounts. Right now there is no way to identify the use of accounts.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

I think it will reach to the future of app developmnt and deployment.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We deployed web api and websites to access on intranet and internet. We needed to create api for internet access as well as intranet access within the organization, so Microsoft azure active directory was the first choice that came up in mind for this requirement. And we were able to successfully authenticate user with multi-tenant feature of azure active directory using oauth tokens. The api work was a good learning for whole team.

"The best of Microsoft"

What do you like best?

Azure Active directory will allow you to store all the client data and it has a large storage capacity which I think is enough for a typical business or company

What do you dislike?

At first, it is confusing to use but there are a lot of video tutorial online or you can find one on YouTube

Recommendations to others considering the product:

If you own a business or you need a better platform to store multiple information for each of your product or customers, reward yourself for using Azure Active Directory and it will make your life easier storing and locating the information you need.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

All the information you need from your clients are stored on one platform and you are confident where to find the information you need and it is a seamless experience when you know how to get the data or information you need.

"Azure Active Directory review"

What do you like best?

Ease of use when updating and working with user and service accounts, resetting user password and adding support tirckets

What do you dislike?

Takes some time getting use to the interface as its a lot different than AD on a domain controller

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Makes managing users and adding users easier as we don't need a VPN to connect to a DC and the add the user/ reset the user password from there. With it being on Azure we are able to handle these request remotely.
