While Azul Platform Core has an active community, it may be smaller than some of the other more popular JDKs, such as OpenJDK or Oracle JDK. But this has never been an issue for us. Azul is commited to maintain a OpenJDK distribution, did. this for a long time and not offer a free version but also a version we as an ISV can embed, backed by a commercial support contract. Currently we are looking into support for Cloud Operwting Systems and Comtaimer Images. As a member of the TornadoVM team, I have managed to access the GPU on my setup from Azul Zulu JDK 11 and 17 through TornadoVM (https://www.tornadovm.org/). We have aligned our software with an extensive selection of OpenJDK distributions based on our strategy to treat OpenJDK vendors equally, which provides flexibility in preference diversity as a convenience to our customers. Zulu is a reliable, stable, high-performance OpenJDK distribution with support for all major LTS releases! Azul provides simply excellent customer support! The product is created by some of the brightest minds in the Java eco system and it gets to show.

The product is easy to install, feels very complete and runs without any problems.

I cannot say that there is anything I dislike. Even preview releases contain the latests specs as specifiek for that specific Java version. This is great as it gives you an early possiblity to try out new language featues even before the become final. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We have migrated several clients to Azul Platform Core, away from other JDK's. We have been able to always replace these JDK's, even in corner cases where old Java versions were used that, for instance, still work with Web Start. If you compare Zulu to other OpenJDK distributions it's hard to come up with downsides. I guess there are also JDK's out there that offer better memory management and faster startup times, but these are not 100% the same product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's a set it and forget it; it just works.

The selection of available versions and platform is excellent; sometimes I need to do some testing against older versions and they are all there.
