"Who knew versioning could be this fun"
5/5
What do you like best about GitKraken Desktop?

I really love the interface. It is very catchy to the eye. I also love all the defeatists they have for students. There's plenty of student discounts and free trials for students as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GitKraken Desktop?

Something I dislike is that while it the UI is very cool and modern, it can also be very dense when you're running a computer with low ram. This means closing other programs you're using to have this one up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"I want to like it but I can't"
2.5/5
What do you like best about GitKraken Desktop?

It looks beautiful! The layout makes a lot of sense, and it feels great to use! The visual design and UX are top-notch. Common Git commands are easy to access and the general concept of their location is very intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GitKraken Desktop?

The app is very heavy, it takes a lot to load, and it feels very sluggish, even for small repositories and simple actions. It also crashes a lot and has corrupted a lot of my projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"GitKraken Review"

What do you like best about GitKraken Desktop?

Stage and commit code hunks and push to different branches of the repository is super easy. Managing large code bases with multiple people working on different branches seems easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GitKraken Desktop?

GUI is little bit messy, can be more cleaner and simpler. A lot of other GUI available like GitHub client , which I found more cleaner as compared to GitKraken Git Client. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great and simple Git Client tool"
4/5
What do you like best about GitKraken Desktop?

It is very easy to use. It's great for those who are new to git and are unfamiliar with the many commands or how git works. The UI makes it easy to understand because your repo is visually laid out. The filtering is a great addition too. One of the best features is that you can see the branches all laid out Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GitKraken Desktop?

Although it makes git easier to use, I think using the command line is still a very useful skill for any developer. It does take more space on your computer compared to just using the command line Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"It has been a pleasant software to use"
4/5
What do you like best about GitKraken Desktop?

I like the most its graphic way of showing the tree of version control systems, it can be tricky with old systems to see all the branches and tags, but Gitkraken handles this well with neat hiding options that come very intuitive to me to toggle on/off. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GitKraken Desktop?

I dont like that it crashes more often then before, they can do a better job of testing updates before releasing them Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
