## AWS Single Sign-On Reviews
  ### 1. Saves Time and Simplifies Team Access Management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Neelu P. | Senior Project Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2026

**What do you like best about AWS Single Sign-On?**

Because it saves time, there’s no need to remember all passwords, and it makes access management easier for team-related work.

**What do you dislike about AWS Single Sign-On?**

If you’re a beginner, the initial setup can feel complex. I found that configuring users or groups across multiple AWS accounts takes a bit more time than expected.

**What problems is AWS Single Sign-On solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It simplifies access by offering a single, secure login across multiple AWS accounts and applications. This improves security, saves time, and makes user management much easier.

  ### 2. AWS Cloud Security: Empowering Security, Ensuring Compliance, and Safeguarding our Digital Future.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Akhil M. | Senior DevOps Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2023

**What do you like best about AWS Single Sign-On?**

IAM: AWS IAM provides fine-grained control over user permissions and supports multi-factor authentication (MFA), adding an extra layer of security.
Monitoring and threat detection are one of the best. I used services like Amazon GuardDuty and AWS Security Hub in our organization quite often.

**What do you dislike about AWS Single Sign-On?**

Integrating certain third-party security tools may pose challenges due to compatibility issues or the need for additional configuration.
Some users may find the AWS Cloud Security interface a bit confusing and not very user-friendly.

**What problems is AWS Single Sign-On solving and how is that benefiting you?**

AWS Cloud Security provides tools that help companies ensure their digital assets are safe and meet regulatory requirements. It helps control who can access what through Identity and Access Management, keeps sensitive data safe using encryption, watches for any potential threats all the time, and gives tools to make sure everything follows the rules. This means a company can have a strong, safe, and organized cloud setup, protecting its data and operations effectively.

  ### 3. Good Choice for a AWS Native Single Sign-On

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aaron A. | Systems Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2022

**What do you like best about AWS Single Sign-On?**

I like that it is an AWS native SSO offering, that integrates with AWS Directory services and Windows Active Directory. I have used this in a lab environment and it was easy to set up. I like that I can have a single source for authenticating users, which saves me from creating Active Directory users and AWS users in IAM. This is also more secure.

**What do you dislike about AWS Single Sign-On?**

I have not found too much not to like. It does not support providers like Google and Apple natively, but I think with SAML it is possible. If it is not possible, AWS Cognos will fill this need.

**Recommendations to others considering AWS Single Sign-On:**

It can be a little tricky to set up, but once it is done you'll have an excellent service.

**What problems is AWS Single Sign-On solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The complexity of having multiple accounts for a single user. This saves time and troubleshooting when any user is having issues. It allows for easier group management with Active Directory. I can create a group in Active Directory and then assign a role and policies to that group in AWS SSO.

  ### 4. Sign-on

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 03, 2022

**What do you like best about AWS Single Sign-On?**

Helps to manage SSO to multiple aws accounts.

**What do you dislike about AWS Single Sign-On?**

Haven't faced any issues currently things work well.

**What problems is AWS Single Sign-On solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easily assigning job roles to the users. Centrally managed.

  ### 5. Powerful Simplicity

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2018

**What do you like best about AWS Single Sign-On?**

I like how clean, intuitive, and easy-to-use the end-user interface is. It makes navigation very easy for my employees, reducing support calls and boosting efficiency. I also like how its easy to create new users and add them to groups, which makes granting SSO users IAM access easy enough (I do feel that improvements could be made, though).

**What do you dislike about AWS Single Sign-On?**

I don't like how it doesn't import existing users from the AWS IAM service. In my opinion the ability to import data like that would really help ease the migration process from our old, mixed SSO-AWS IAM setup to a new, all SSO solution. The administrator interface, while easy enough to use, feels dated and doesn't really match the idea of a "powerful dashboard" that I've come to expect from AWS.

**Recommendations to others considering AWS Single Sign-On:**

Don't set up AWS IAM before SSO, because you cannot import profiles from IAM and you'll just end up wasting setup time by doing so.

**What problems is AWS Single Sign-On solving and how is that benefiting you?**

So far we've been able to use AWS SSO to centralize the many different services that our employees have to log into during day-to-day operations, which has saved us time and money because now everything is one place.

  ### 6. A product with ease of use

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 25, 2019

**What do you like best about AWS Single Sign-On?**

Its the ease of use which is the key feature and the best part is the more comprehensive single sign-on experience.

**What do you dislike about AWS Single Sign-On?**

I wish AWS would have entered the marked a long time ago like the industry key players Okta did in 2009. I feel its a missed opportunity.

**Recommendations to others considering AWS Single Sign-On:**

It has a very different experience compared to Okta. try it.

**What problems is AWS Single Sign-On solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In our organization, we are using to manage SSO access and user permissions to all the accounts centrally. The best part is the integration with business applications we currently use, such as Salesforce, Office 365 etc.

  ### 7. As You Might Expect

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2019

**What do you like best about AWS Single Sign-On?**

For a regular AWS'er, it's a easy project. It's been reliable, and super convenient.

**What do you dislike about AWS Single Sign-On?**

For someone that isn't a regular AWS'er, there is going to be a learning curve to implement.

**What problems is AWS Single Sign-On solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Combining auth sessions. It's convenient to not have multiple places to log in.

  ### 8. Single sign on is a time and money saver

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason M. | Account Executive, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2018

**What do you like best about AWS Single Sign-On?**

Any time anyone brings you a single sign on solution, you need to look under the hood and check security. the functionality of single sign-on is so simple and basic that everyone can do more or less the same thing. IT's not the ease of passwords its the secure ease of passwords that make any of these solutions work. Amazon delivers on that promise.

**What do you dislike about AWS Single Sign-On?**

Does it cover everything, well yes as long as its in the cloud. So its could based and not device based.

**Recommendations to others considering AWS Single Sign-On:**

Get some info and a trial. Ideally get a live expert to go through the program with you to show you how to get the most out of it.

**What problems is AWS Single Sign-On solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Faster logins mean more time doing work.
