Having access to over 200 services through a single interface makes it easy to jump between EC2, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, and everything else without switching tools or losing context. The global search bar is another standout, because it makes navigation genuinely fast. Instead of memorising where each service lives in the menu structure, you can type what you need, land on the right page in seconds, and save a surprising amount of time over the course of a day. I also really like the visual tools. CloudFormation stack visualisations, Cost Explorer graphs, and CloudWatch dashboards make it much easier to understand what infrastructure is running and what it’s costing, without having to dig through raw data or write queries just to get a clear picture. **What do you dislike about AWS Management Console?** The console’s biggest weakness is how quickly it can become overwhelming. With so many services available, navigation often feels cluttered and inconsistent. Different services tend to follow their own UI conventions, so there’s a constant “reorientation” cost when you switch between them. As a result, it can feel less like a unified product and more like a set of separate tools that just happen to share a common header. Performance can be frustrating as well. Some pages—especially in services like IAM or CloudFormation—are slow to load or refresh, which breaks your flow when you’re trying to move quickly or troubleshoot something under pressure. Search is helpful, but it has clear limits. It works well for finding services, yet searching for specific resources across services—like locating a particular EC2 instance or S3 bucket from a partial name—isn’t always reliable or consistent. Finally, the console isn’t always the best place to make changes at scale. Tasks that seem like they should be straightforward in the UI can quickly reveal that the console is geared more toward exploration and monitoring than bulk operations, which pushes you toward the CLI or SDKs sooner than it feels necessary. **What problems is AWS Management Console solving and how is that benefiting you?** Before we started using the AWS Management Console, managing our cloud infrastructure meant juggling multiple tools, scripts, and documentation sources just to understand what was running and what it was costing. Bringing everything into one place has significantly reduced the overhead of day-to-day infrastructure management. We used to struggle with visibility across services, but now we can monitor resources, permissions, and costs from a single interface. That has led to faster decision-making and fewer oversights. Being able to open Cost Explorer and immediately see where spend is concentrated, for example, makes it much easier to have informed conversations about optimisation without having to pull separate reports. The console has also been genuinely helpful for onboarding new team members. Instead of pointing someone straight to the CLI and a wall of documentation, the visual interface gives them a clear, navigable starting point, which has shortened the time it takes for people to become productive with AWS services. Overall, the console works as a reliable operational hub—useful for monitoring, auditing, and exploration even when the actual infrastructure changes are handled through code. We may not know or may not be able to estimate budget while using and the risk is there of its going out of control. Using the management console it is very easy to create/terminate a server and also monitor or change the server properties. It gives us a unified space to manage a huge variety of AWS services that we may be using for our projects. A unified billing dashboard allows to minutely see the details of which service is costing us how much and also gives us an estimate of how much will we have to pay by the end of the month **What do you dislike about AWS Management Console?** I do not like the UI much. The UI could have been much better considering that it has been so long since AWS has been operational now. It has to be managed with amazon API command tools, however as these tools are still required because the AWS console doesn’t offer all the features. I was still very surprised and happy with the software. **What do you dislike about AWS Management Console?** Now that the web interface supports most important functions. It’s easy to only want to use AWS, so therefore I have no dislikes about the AWSmanagement console. **What problems is AWS Management Console solving and how is that benefiting you?** We really solved the problem of having too many softwares.
