You can easily monitor equipment across your industrial facilities to identify waste, such as breakdown of equipment and processes, production inefficiencies, and defects in products. ## AWS IoT SiteWise Reviews ### 1. I especially like features such as Asset Models, Assets, Measurements, Transforms, Metrics, and SiteWise Monitor, because they make it straightforward to represent physical equipment and calculate operational KPIs without having to build custom data pipelines. The UI feels intuitive for industrial users, enabling engineers to create asset hierarchies and dashboards with minimal development effort. Performance is excellent for continuously ingesting high-frequency telemetry from manufacturing plants, and the managed architecture helps reduce ongoing infrastructure maintenance. While SiteWise itself isn’t an AI service, it integrates well with SageMaker and Bedrock to support use cases like predictive maintenance and broader operational intelligence. **What do you dislike about AWS IoT SiteWise?** This service is mainly geared toward industrial IoT environments, which makes it less suitable for more general IoT workloads. The initial asset modelling phase takes careful planning, and organisations that aren’t familiar with industrial data modelling may encounter a noticeable learning curve. **What problems is AWS IoT SiteWise solving and how is that benefiting you?** AWS IoT SiteWise solved the challenge of centralising industrial equipment telemetry from multiple production facilities. Example: Factory machines continuously transmitted temperature, vibration, energy consumption, and production metrics through AWS IoT Core. SiteWise organised equipment into asset hierarchies, automatically calculated OEE and equipment utilisation metrics, and exposed dashboards through SiteWise Monitor. Engineers identified abnormal equipment behaviour early, reducing downtime and improving maintenance planning. ### 2. It allows us not only to collect but to be able to deep dive into the data in great detail for us to make improvements. **What do you dislike about AWS IoT SiteWise?** Consolidating the many silos we've created at my current organization has been difficult and using AWS IOT was not as beneficial in that space as we had hoped in regards to aligning our many tech uses. **Recommendations to others considering AWS IoT SiteWise:** Understand your organization needs and wants before choosing any software and AWS has a multitude of functionality and services for our organization it was sufficient **What problems is AWS IoT SiteWise solving and how is that benefiting you?** The big ask from AWS IOT SIteWise is to be able to consolidate our current technology silos and create alignment within our Orgs by moving to AWS and being able to use all the data in one space across multiple platforms ### 3. We can even build the assets for our industrial operations. **What do you dislike about AWS IoT SiteWise?** I didn't find much about its dislikes but I will suggest that before using it you should first read and try it out before gaining confidence as it's a one solution. **What problems is AWS IoT SiteWise solving and how is that benefiting you?** Basically it can identify the issues or performance of the assets i.e. industrial equipment quickly with remote monitoring across various location. We can diagnose any problem remotely. ### 4.
