## About AWS IoT Core
AWS IoT Core is a managed cloud service that enables connected devices to securely and seamlessly interact with cloud applications and other devices. It supports billions of devices and trillions of messages, processing and routing them reliably and securely. With AWS IoT Core, applications can keep track of and communicate with all devices at all times, even when they are not connected. Key Features and Functionality: - Device Connectivity and Management: AWS IoT Core allows for the secure connection, management, and scaling of device fleets without the need to provision or manage servers. It supports various communication protocols, including MQTT, HTTPS, MQTT over WebSockets, and LoRaWAN, providing flexibility in device communication. - Secure Communication: The service ensures end-to-end encryption and mutual authentication, safeguarding device connections and data integrity. It supports multiple authentication methods, including X.509 certificates and custom token-based authentication. - Data Processing and Routing: AWS IoT Core's rules engine evaluates inbound messages, allowing for real-time filtering, transformation, and routing based on user-defined business rules. This enables seamless integration with other AWS services such as AWS Lambda, Amazon S3, and Amazon DynamoDB for further processing and storage. - Device Shadow: The service maintains a persistent, virtual representation of each device's state, known as a Device Shadow. This feature allows applications to interact with devices even when they are offline by providing the last reported state and desired future state of each device. Primary Value and Solutions Provided: AWS IoT Core simplifies the development and deployment of IoT applications by offering a secure, scalable, and fully managed platform. It addresses key challenges in IoT solutions, such as secure device connectivity, efficient data processing, and seamless integration with cloud services. By leveraging AWS IoT Core, businesses can focus on innovation and delivering value to their customers without the complexities of managing infrastructure.

## AWS IoT Core Reviews
 ### 1. The best IoT platform to integrate with your devices

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about AWS IoT Core?**

Its extremely powerful and can be integrated with FreeRTOS directly, so you can get many features like OTA and telemetry in your devices already out of the box, I use it frequently to connect real devices and bring them the cloud capabilities using IoT Core like gateway to easily implement it with third party or AWS solutions. You can create rules, categories or groups of devices and get cool features like the shadow device to communicate with virtual devices that are currently disconnected in the real world, once those devices become online then the platform updates all the commands or information pending to be sent.

**What do you dislike about AWS IoT Core?**

AWS solutions are not quite easy to integrate with other services, so much of the IoT capabilities depends on the way that you integrate it with the rest, for instance there's no way to manage all the keys of your devices in the platform in a graphical way, you can do that if attach the IoT Core with their API and a webpage for example to show the entire table

**What problems is AWS IoT Core solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used it like my first option to get telemetry connection from every device that I developed, from a weather sensor to a vending machine IoT core is the best to get managed the connections by MQTT protocol. This service fits perfectly with other instances of AWS like S3 so a complete set of databases can be filled and managed from IoT Core without complexity in the implementation.
