## About AWS IoT Core
AWS IoT Core is a managed cloud service that enables connected devices to securely and seamlessly interact with cloud applications and other devices. It supports billions of devices and trillions of messages, processing and routing them reliably and securely. With AWS IoT Core, applications can keep track of and communicate with all devices at all times, even when they are not connected. Key Features and Functionality: - Device Connectivity and Management: AWS IoT Core allows for the secure connection, management, and scaling of device fleets without the need to provision or manage servers. It supports various communication protocols, including MQTT, HTTPS, MQTT over WebSockets, and LoRaWAN, providing flexibility in device communication. - Secure Communication: The service ensures end-to-end encryption and mutual authentication, safeguarding device connections and data integrity. It supports multiple authentication methods, including X.509 certificates and custom token-based authentication. - Data Processing and Routing: AWS IoT Core&#39;s rules engine evaluates inbound messages, allowing for real-time filtering, transformation, and routing based on user-defined business rules.   ### 1. It is cool but it is not simple (at the beginning)

**What do you like best about AWS IoT Core?**

It has a good encryption requirements to establish the MQTT connection. In this update to IoT Core they made a wey easy to use the SDK/API.
You can use a raspberry pi or almost anything that support python or java
The give you a trial of 12 months!!

**What do you dislike about AWS IoT Core?**

It is the opposite to be simple. Yes it has a manual but it's not clear! You have to go thought a lot of youtube videos to really understand how it works.
Amazon changed the original implementation of IBM so the good thing is the security the bad thing is the implementation of it (its awful at the very first time).
For my type of final solution i could use Ansible from Red Hat but it would has lost the IoT stuff 

**Recommendations to others considering AWS IoT Core:**

You must read about MQTT from IBM and have a good understanding of the quality of service stuff and also be aware of the limitations and differences with IBM standard (the big one for me was QoS and security).

Im monitoring ping, traceroute, ospf neighborhood and some tracks within IPSLA. B

**What do you like best about AWS IoT Core?**

Altough it's a new  feature added to AWS, it has a lot of potential when trying to connect your no-compute devices such as sensors or just sending-data devices. I like the way it generates automatically all the setup you need in, for example, a raspberry, even the script that sends the data.

**What do you dislike about AWS IoT Core?**

The documentation still in baby steps, maybe a little bit of more examples would trigger more sales on industry.

**What problems is AWS IoT Core solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automation for cinema enviroments.

One of the issue is persistent connectivity .
