"AWS Glue: A Powerful and Versatile Data Integration Service"
4/5
What do you like best about AWS Glue?

- AWS Glue is a serverless service, so you don't have to provision or manage any servers. This makes it very easy to get started with AWS Glue, and it also helps to reduce costs.

- AWS Glue is a fully-managed service, so you don't have to worry about managing the underlying infrastructure. This frees you up to focus on your data, and it also helps to improve reliability and security.

- AWS Glue is easy to use. You can create and run jobs with a few clicks of a button. AWS Glue also provides a graphical user interface that makes it easy to visualize your data and create ETL pipelines.

- AWS Glue is scalable. You can easily scale your jobs up or down to meet your changing needs. AWS Glue also provides a pay-as-you-go pricing model, so you only pay for the resources you use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AWS Glue?

- AWS Glue can be complex to set up and use, especially for users who are not familiar with Spark or Python.

- AWS Glue can be expensive, especially for large-scale data processing jobs.

- AWS Glue does not support all data sources, so you may need to use a different tool for some data sources. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It uses Apache spark engine to run its jobs which helps in faster execution and it's Serverless feature which automatically provision the resources. It has Glue ETL jobs where the code is auto generated after selecting the data sources and targets. It has crawlers which auto detects the schemas and can be scheduled or run on demand. AWS Glue is a ETL(Extract Transform and Load) Serverless tool used to extract data from many sources including AWS S3 and Databases which can be ran automatically based on events or manually when required. Converting CSV files to Tables automatically with lambda as preprocessing is great advantage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful data integration and ETL"
5/5
What do you like best about AWS Glue?

AWS Glue offers a user-friendly interface and a range of tools that make it relatively easy to set up and manage data integration workflows. The graphical interface for creating ETL jobs simplifies the process, allowing users to define data sources, transformations, and targets with little to no coding. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AWS Glue?

AWS Glue is tightly integrated with the broader AWS ecosystem. While this provides seamless integration with other AWS services, it also means that organizations heavily invested in other cloud providers or on-premises infrastructure may face challenges in adopting AWS Glue as a standalone solution. "AWS Glue - Data crawling made easier."
4/5
What do you like best about AWS Glue?

AWS Glue provides Glue crawlers which can crawl/read data from a dump (AWS S3) and can organise that data into Glue tables which are easily readable. Glue crawler incrementally adds records to the Glue table, when data source (AWS S3) receives incremental data. This is the best thing I like about AWS Glue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AWS Glue?

One Glue crawler can crawl/read from one source location. So you need to have multiple crawlers, if you have data-to-be crawled at different locations. This can be cost effective. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
