## About AWS Elastic Load Balancing
Elastic Load Balancing automatically distributes incoming application traffic across multiple targets, such as Amazon EC2 instances, containers, and IP addresses. It can handle the varying load of your application traffic in a single Availability Zone or across multiple Availability Zones. Elastic Load Balancing offers three types of load balancers that all feature the high availability, automatic scaling, and robust security necessary to make your applications fault tolerant.

**What do you like best about AWS Elastic Load Balancing?**

It is very easy to integrate with the server. We can easily use it. Whenever we require the customer support we get it in the short instance of time. They care about it very well. I use it frequently in nowadays to check the CPU,memory and many more things in single click.

**What do you dislike about AWS Elastic Load Balancing?**

I don't think there is any thing bad with the AWS cloud.

**What problems is AWS Elastic Load Balancing solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the issue of maintainance and it is quite cost effective for us. Whenever we require it we get it us and use it. We have to pay as we use that. So,this is quite cost effective.

I hard to understand to new person and they need proper step for each types of use cases.

  ### 4. Easy to use but comes with a big word of warning

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Spiros P. | Innovation section manager, Telecommunications, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2018

**What do you like best about AWS Elastic Load Balancing?**

- Super easy to setup and use either with the console or the AWS command line tools
- Load balancing across multiple availability zones leads to application redundancy
- Supports sticky sessions with a cookie
- Easily configurable values of the application server's heartbeat and timeouts, so that the load balancer can identify unhealthy instances
- Monitoring, which is very easy to setup, use and extracted meaningful results from through Amazon Cloud Watch metrics

**What do you dislike about AWS Elastic Load Balancing?**

- Let me start by saying that the thing I dislike the most applies to the classic load balancer, which was the one used for my application needs. I did not use or have any experience with either their newest "Application Load Balancer" or the "Network Load Balancer". That said, the load balancer works great under continuous, non-spikey traffic but fails to accommodate instantaneous spikes in network requests. Extensive internet research showed that the load balancer needs to be "pre-warmed" and this is done by filing a request to Amazon support 24 hours ahead of the expected increase in traffic.

**Recommendations to others considering AWS Elastic Load Balancing:**

- Does not respond well to traffic spikes
- Tech support is not included unless one opts for a plan
- Pricing is on the expensive side

**What problems is AWS Elastic Load Balancing solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The goal of the project was to have a stateless Wordpress installation, as described in the "WordPress: Best Practices on AWS" whitepaper (https://d0.awsstatic.com/whitepapers/wordpress-best-practices-on-aws.pdf). Although we followed the guide to the letter, the end result failed to meet our requirements, mostly due to performance issues of the load balancer mentioned above.
