"Elastic beanstalk is actually competitive product for software developers"
4.5/5
What do you like best about AWS Elastic Beanstalk?

I think it's easy to use as compared to EC2 and competitive in terms of other competitors like heroku. I deployed several nodeJS applications and they work pretty fine. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AWS Elastic Beanstalk?

The only thing I dislike is the git compatibility is a bit of a struggle as compared to Heroku. If that is improved this product can make a big success for developers who actually have little knowledge of servers and stuff. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Elastic beanstalk experience is good but can still be improved"
4/5
What do you like best about AWS Elastic Beanstalk?

The best part of this service is that you do not need to provision any server as that is taken care by AWS. So, if you are new to cloud services it is very helpful.

It also supports Windows and Linux platforms as a server which is a great help.

We cannot SSH into the server provisioned but it takes care of updating and security automatically.

It also provides load balancer so that in case of high or low traffic server utilization is efficient and unnecessary cost is avoided. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AWS Elastic Beanstalk?

- It does not tell the customer that elastic load balancing is automatically enabled and thus that may increase the cost of service.

-The integration with CodePipeline is good but can be confusing in the beginning.

-I am not sure if ASG(Auto scaling group) works effectively here.

-Lot of time traffic is from AWS security checks only. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"AWS cloud - Go to Platform for all beginners & experts"
5/5
What do you like best about AWS Elastic Beanstalk?

The best thing about AWS cloud is you can set up your entire digital business with the proper knowledge of all available services. It is one of the most reliable, scalable and user friendly platform in the market. It has almost all kind of services nd tools needed by developers thus making life a bit easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AWS Elastic Beanstalk?

When compared to the usage i believe some services are quite expensive and if these services are left out open without using them for a certain amount of time it can cost one some thousands bucks. So it can be made more cost friendly specially for beginners. And if a stop service option gets available then it will become easy for people and can save them a lot of money Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best and fastest deployment tool"
4.5/5
What do you like best about AWS Elastic Beanstalk?

Aws beanstalk is a platform as a service which provides ready to deploy or deployed project to you in a few clicks.

You don't need to configure details like server, security group, vpc, elastic ip etc.

It is auto configurable tool.

Very easy to configure and use. New users can easily use this to deploy their applications.

Also it supports multiple technology stacks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AWS Elastic Beanstalk?

It take lot of time in initialisation.

Also when the application breaks it restart the servers which might causes the data loss.

Also not easy to customise some services. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about AWS Elastic Beanstalk?

Attempt to bind all required components in a plug-and-play manner, in one single place you will receive a solution for all, compute, storage and load balancing. As well deployment pipeline present. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AWS Elastic Beanstalk?

It is somehow not easy to configure all those different aspects for the service to run. Networking, storage, Compute, deploy config etc. Under the hood it uses native AWS service, just packaging them in one place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best service for deploying various applications"
4.5/5
What do you like best about AWS Elastic Beanstalk?

The most beneficial feature of AWS Elastic beanstalk is that it supports a huge variety of programming languages so one can try out different frameworks and can implement as per use case.

Also, the setup thing is very easy and smooth that any newcomer can also achieve it via console or cli also.

Documentation for this service is also to the point and very elegant in order to learn and implement things faster. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AWS Elastic Beanstalk?

One confusion i noticed is that for elastic beanstalk there is separate dedicated cli , and not the AWS CLI Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
