AWS Elastic Beanstalk is a user-friendly platform that simplifies the complexities of capacity provisioning, load balancing, auto-scaling, and application health monitoring. I'm not too fond of the limited flexibility and control over the underlying infrastructure that AWS Elastic Beanstalk provides and how large-scale deployments over an extended period can become too costly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It was an excellent experience to use elastic beanstalk to deploy our web application. When we deployed our application, we didn't bother about the configuration set up, auto-scaling, and provisioning of the other aws services. Elastic beanstalk automatically takes care of everything. No need to manage any server configuration there, which Elastic beanstalk will take care of automatically. One of the limitations I dislike is that it wouldn't provide any notification for the failure of the deployment. Termination of the instance that have deployment issues wouldn't happen.

I have used the auto-scale feature of AWS Elastic Beanstalk. It works well if you have a finite set of services.

No need to worry about managing the instances anymore.

We wanted to go with pay for resources when you use, and it works with AWS Beanstalk. It is highly available and provides much cheaper services as compared to other providers.

The documentation needs to be improved,I have faced problems many times while deploying the application. Need to rely on the diffrent blogs.

AWS Elastic Beanstalk is its simplicity and convenience in deploying and scaling applications. Service limitations: Elastic Beanstalk has certain limitations in terms of supported platforms, maximum scalability limits, and restrictions on certain configurations. These limitations may not align with specific project requirements, causing developers to seek alternative solutions.

Cost considerations: While Elastic Beanstalk simplifies application deployment, it may not always be the most cost-effective option. Depending on the application's resource requirements and usage patterns, managing the infrastructure directly using AWS services like EC2, RDS, and load balancers might offer more cost optimization opportunities. It really has large set up Linux machine to deploy your application. It's really easy to use. It has all the things a developer need to deploy and scale the application. The best thing is you get bill as you use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It was little confusing UI for new users as there are lot of services available. Initial setup is little difficult for new user as it's ask lot many questions to create one. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There is some limitations in controlling the infrastructure, but at the same time it has it's own usecases, plus it could cause some dependency compatability issues, but it can be solved by using docker. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The service provides a unique dashboard where you have to define your parameters to enable the auto-scaling feature. For example, You can define that it adds one EC2 instance when request crosses 2000 requests/second after 2 min. We need to assume instance are ephemeral as they can die like spot instance. So the image should be moved to persistent storage like s3.
