"Extremely quick way to stand up a SaaS site"
5/5
What do you like best about AWS Elastic Beanstalk?

It's an all-in-one solution. You pick from Apache or NGINX, you have a load balancer, you can easily connect a web application firewall and a database. Easy to load software, and easy to manage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AWS Elastic Beanstalk?

The connectivity can be challenging. You have to deal with security groups, ACLs, and the like. It's hard to conceptualize all of the connectivity plumbing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Does what its name is - grows as you need it"
4.5/5
What do you like best about AWS Elastic Beanstalk?

AWS Beanstalk is named after the beanstalk of fairy tails that grows up to the clouds. It is an orchestration tool, specifically for AWS Services such as EC2, S3 and SNS, Cloudwatch and Elastic balance balancers. It basically adds an extra extraction layer between the server and OS (operating system), which makes it easy to deploy and manage apps on AWS. This makes it easy to deploy and scale web applications and services.

Likes - you get snapshot application logs from EC2 instances (always handy) and you get email notifications through SNS for app health changes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AWS Elastic Beanstalk?

It is free in that you only pay for the services that you used to run your application, such as S3. The negative is thay cost is not fixed, so the number of EC2 instances, size of S3 bucket etc will effect what you end up paying for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The thing which is not good is that it is expensive and it also creates a ec2 instance and manages it with autoscaling which makes it expensive moreover its hard limit is limited to 4k, which is less for high production. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Elastic Beanstalk"
4.5/5
What do you like best about AWS Elastic Beanstalk?

The ease at which we were able to get started with testing and increase the resources to see how they impacted our performance was essential to our app dev and dev ops strategy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Unless you have Dev Ops experience, some of the setups can be confusing, and AWS is not known for easy-to-understand documentation or quick start guides for the novice dev ops person. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
