The best thing about AWS Deep Learning AMIs (DLAMIs) is the out-of-the-box readiness that eliminates manual infrastructure setup

Developers often dislike AWS Deep Learning AMIs (DLAMIs) because they are bloated with unused frameworks, frequently feature outdated CUDA drivers, and cause dependency issues.

**What problems is AWS Deep Learning AMIs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

AWS Deep Learning AMIs (DLAMI) solve the friction of configuring machine learning environments by providing pre-packaged, ready-to-use virtual machines.

**What do you like best about AWS Deep Learning AMIs?**

It's quick and pretty easy to spin up a deep learning AMI for all types of uses. In my case it helped me get right into playing with DL without having to get through environment blocks and others like it. Configurations are pretty easy and intuitive to set up.

**What do you dislike about AWS Deep Learning AMIs?**

Nothing yet as I'm still learning the infrastructure.

**What problems is AWS Deep Learning AMIs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've been able to use pytorch and python packages to get started quickly. Saving time on setup lets me get started on the real work I want to learn and develop as I progress.

**What do you like best about AWS Deep Learning AMIs?**

The most helpful part in AWS AMI Deep learning capability enhances developers' ability to accelerate deep learning in the cloud. With features and capabilities like TensorFlow and Gluon, we can integrate deep learning frameworks within AWS EC2 instances.

**What do you dislike about AWS Deep Learning AMIs?**

Dislike the fact that I wish there were more frameworks and tools embedded within the AWS Deep learning AMI. There can be more frameworks and interfaces added so more usage and custom AI models and complex algorithms can be trained and learn new skills.

**What problems is AWS Deep Learning AMIs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The software is helping us benefit by gaining custom AI models based on learning algorithms and new techniques to enable our systems to behave in specific ways after repeatedly consistent actions. We can scale our cloud infrastructure with a new AMI that learns and applies valuable insights and skills in the system.

It has most of the deep learning frameworks already installed and makes it easy for GPU configuration.

It was difficult to switch to different versions of frameworks as well as GPU drivers.

**What problems is AWS Deep Learning AMIs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We develop state-of-the-art natural langauge processing models using deep learning AMI and AWS cloud makes it possible to develop cutting edge tools.

Object Detection is the best and unique feature of DeepLens

The frame lag is a very disappointing feature and it needs an upgrade.

**Recommendations to others considering AWS Deep Learning AMIs:**

There are other products from NVIDIA that can accelerate deep lens. But it costs more money.

**What problems is AWS Deep Learning AMIs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Object Detection and data capture are our most commonly addressed requirements.
