**What do you like best about AWS Compute Optimizer?**

What I like most about AWS Compute Optimizer is how it analyzes resource utilization and turns that data into clear, actionable recommendations for optimizing cloud infrastructure. It helps pinpoint overprovisioned and underutilized resources, so teams can adjust capacity to improve performance while also reducing costs.

I also appreciate that the recommendations are straightforward to understand and are grounded in real usage patterns rather than guesswork.

**What do you dislike about AWS Compute Optimizer?**

The recommendations should be reviewed carefully before implementation because business requirements, future growth, and workload characteristics may not always be reflected in historical usage data. Some advanced optimization scenarios still require manual analysis.

**What problems is AWS Compute Optimizer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

AWS Compute Optimizer solves cloud cost optimization and resource rightsizing challenges.

Example:

In our AWS environment, Compute Optimizer identified EC2 instances that were consistently underutilized and recommended smaller instance types. After validating workload requirements, we were able to reduce infrastructure costs while maintaining application performance.

We also used recommendations for EBS volumes and Auto Scaling Groups to improve resource utilization and reduce unnecessary spending.

This helped improve cloud cost efficiency without impacting operational performance.

It's very easy to use . The dashboard is just straight forward and the visualized recommendations make it easy to understand and act up on suggestions

The tool provides analysis and recommendations but does not perform real time optimizations

**What problems is AWS Compute Optimizer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My problem was I don't have a user-friendly environment for me to work but with the help of the dashboard and easy to interface of AWS compute optimizer it's much easier for me

**What do you like best about AWS Compute Optimizer?**

The way it analyse all the instances and give the appropriate data that which serivces are not utilizing for the long time, if not in use than disable it and when required then only start again, which helps very much Sin cost effectiveness and reduse lots of bill amount. I have been using this service in one of our client server's and very helpfull too.

**What do you dislike about AWS Compute Optimizer?**

Well so far didn't face any issue in AWS compute so there is no dislike thing.

**What problems is AWS Compute Optimizer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bill Managment mainly, then after looking fwd the services which has been not used for very long time and getting bills of it, and helps in performance the server optimization for any outdated patches, version upgrade etc.

It helps you choose optimal configurations for three types of AWS resources: Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) instance types, Amazon Elastic Block Store (EBS) volumes, and AWS Lambda functions, based on your usage data.

**What do you dislike about AWS Compute Optimizer?**

nothing, this is a cool tool, but it would be difficult to find things that are not suitable in a service as interesting as Compute Optimizer

**What problems is AWS Compute Optimizer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Analyzes default CloudWatch metrics such as CPU usage, network packets per second, local storage performance, and local storage IOPS when generating recommendations for EC2 instance types. EC2 instances must have 30 cumulative hours of metrics before they can receive recommendations.

Easy to use and configure. Automatic evaluation. Easy to implement and integrate in account. It recommends perfectly according to usage.

AWS Compute Optimizer only recommend over-provisioned or under provisioned, It should also recommend the best or appropriate Instance Family as well.

**What problems is AWS Compute Optimizer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

AWS Compute Optimizer  recommend over-provisioned or under provisioned resources based on usage we don't have to constantly monitor to check usage.

**What do you like best about AWS Compute Optimizer?**

Very helpful to optimize AWS EC2 instances performance and cost. It smartly analyzes the resources utilization of the running EC2 instances and provides recommendations to improve performance and reduce costs through ML algorithims. The Purchasing Options Guidance is also a handy feature. The fact that you can customize reports and integrate them into your decision-making processes is also amazing.

**What do you dislike about AWS Compute Optimizer?**

Logging! It's worth noting that the AWS Compute Optimizer relies on historical data to generate recommendations. Therefore, it's important to ensure that your workloads have sufficient historical data for accurate analysis.

**What problems is AWS Compute Optimizer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Resource utilization optimization, cost effectiveness, purchasing decision-making as well as instance recommendations since it provides recommendations on instance types and sizes that are better suited for your workload based on historical data analysis.

The AWS Computing Optimizer is a great tool that although provides it's cloud users with access to the AWS compute optimizer for free, it's limit and lack of direct actionability make it less effective for genuine cost optimization.

It's a service that analyze the configuration and usage metrics of AWS resources. It's reports whether resources are optimal, and produces optimization recommendations to reduce the financial burden and improve the working.

AWS Compute Optimizer is one of the ways,  AWS can help us choose the number of resources and auto-load balancer groups for our business requirement. It is very helpful for users having little knowledge on which set of resources to choose.

I didn't find any cons in using this service.

AWS Compute Optimizer can be a great tool if you are new to AWS and are still learning the trade-off between Computation and Cost. It always helps me in multiple projects to choose the apt resources.
