Some of the documentation is not very clear. This makes it harder to write resource statements for certain services, for example, Lambda. Also, some services are not supported in CloudFormation. Cloudformation is a great way to deploy all of your infrastructure as code, this code is as either json or yaml templates, it enables you to be able to version control on your solution and being able to share it with more people so they are able to use these templates to build out a solution for testing. you are able to reference loads of different AWS services within these templates Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about AWS CloudFormation? not all services are fully added yet, we are having a issue with codedeploy where you can't do a blue/green deployment with EC2, we're having to come up with a solution around this which takes alot more time to get set up, also the AWS documents are that go they give you the basics of what you need to do but you do find yourself going in circles trying to find a solution Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is AWS CloudFormation solving and how is that benefiting you? we want to be able to deploy our solution quickly in case of a disaster in one of the AWS regions so we can lift and shift the solution we provide to another region making sure we keep downtime to a minimum Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
