I couldn't imagine running my apps without autoscaing. The parameterization is great too. **What do you dislike about AWS Auto Scaling?** I think it need better integration with ECS and CloudFormation. There is no connection between using ECS with Autoscaling. We want to draing our hosts before terminating, but when an ASG deletes a server it's at random and often isn't the instance that was drained.
