The company is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, and more than 600 organizations use AwardSpring to administer their scholarship programs. The leadership team comes from higher education, and the support team's average first response time is 16 minutes. The platform covers the full awarding cycle. Administrators build online applications with conditional questions and document uploads, assign reviewers automatically, score submissions against their own rubrics, and award funds without moving data between spreadsheets. Applicants complete one general application and are matched to the awards they qualify for, rather than applying to each one separately. Administrators work from a dashboard showing the state of the current cycle and a follow-up queue that tracks open items with applicants, such as missing transcripts or unsigned documents. Reviewers score from their own portal without needing administrator access. AwardSpring also includes donor management for advancement and foundation teams, so donor records, gifts, funds, and contact history sit in the same system as the scholarship data. At most institutions the scholarship process runs on paper, spreadsheets, and email, and it is often split across financial aid, advancement, and the foundation office, each holding part of the record. That makes awarding slow, makes fairness hard to demonstrate, and makes donor reporting a manual reconstruction. Keeping applications, reviews, awards, funds, and donors in one system reduces the staff hours a cycle requires, gives reviewers a consistent basis for decisions, and makes it possible to tell a donor what their specific fund accomplished without exporting from two systems and reconciling them by hand. Downloading giant reports and having to delete hundreds of columns and rows wastes so much time. I want to pick certain items and make a simple report of just the data I need. I also want to be able to make reports from the award and deny screen after I filter applicants; a report with just certain student answers from the select group of qualified applicants for a scholarship or a screen that will just show the answers of the students qualified for a scholarship. Additionally, I am unsure if the EFC and unmet need information is accurate. **What problems is AwardSpring solving and how is that benefiting you?** Awardspring saves me from having to manually pair up students with scholarships. **Official Response from Kurt Reilly:** > Thank you for taking time to review our platform, and we're sorry you're not having the best experience. From a reviewer perspective: you're able to configure precisely what a reviewer can see, cutting down the amount of data shown to a manageable amount necessary to execute the review From a reporting perspective: Once you've filtered down the number of students you're interesting in reviewing, you can modify that page to show just the answers you're interesting in seeing in order to make your awarding decisions For EFC/Unmet need: If we're pulling in information from your Student Information System via our integration, you should be able to trust these answers.
