I haven’t used any integrations yet, so I can’t really comment on that side of the product. **What do you dislike about Award Force?** It isn’t very user-friendly when it comes to setting up a program. The and/or conditions make it hard to build some of the questions we need for our programs. We’ve also run into issues where some people try to submit but can’t get past the login page. On top of that, it’s very difficult to send broadcasts to just one person or a small group. It offers me the ability to have galleries that are up for public voting and includes features that provide professional-facing programs. Over the years, I appreciate the evolution of the platform. The back-end separation allows me to control what judges, applicants, and the public can see, giving me a lot of control. I like the fact that through coding and discounts, I can do just about anything I need on the platform. It is extremely effective at allowing entrants to upload material in nearly any format, and judges can selectively view different categories, and I have a lot of choice in itemizing reviews. Each year, setup gets easier, and I find the tools, prompts, and checklists really helpful. I also think the service is excellent because it provides me 24/7 access to queries and allows me to speak to real people, building relationships with the worldwide team, which helps me feel confident. **What do you dislike about Award Force?** I find the initial setup of Award Force a bit challenging since I use it just twice a year. I have to remind myself of the process, but it becomes easier each year as I get more familiar with it. It is easy to see how to enter and edit key information, such as instructions for entrants. I have just finished updating our competition for the next cycle, and found it a simple matter to set new round dates, change entry fields, and adjust pricing and discounts. I tested everything, right through to payment, and it works very well. Our community of entrants has no complaints and finds it straightforward to participate. I should also add that we love the broadcast function for sending messages to our entrants. **What do you dislike about Award Force?** We did have an issue in the last competition with automatically distributing entries to our judges. There was a glitch of some kind, and some of the entries were not being assigned. However, Award Force support was quick to the rescue. A hardworking technician tackled the problem, tagged all of the orphan entries, and got us into our judging period with only a day's delay. **What problems is Award Force solving and how is that benefiting you?** Award Force allows us to receive entries and payments from participants worldwide, to distribute the entries to our jury (blindly, without the entrant's name, which is key), to track entries, users, and payments, and to communicate with all participants at the touch of the broadcast button. These were all things that, I believe, they saw as bonuses to their current or future clients which is why they integreated them into the system. However, changes like this can be a slight hiccup to current users who are used to doing things a certain way. While these changes are usually in email communications, with further details able to be found, it's just a lilttle hard to know if they'll work for us or not. The upside to these ongoing system changes is that we've now been able to add several features to our program and our judges interface that weren't available when we launched but that make the user expereince much more useful as well as make it easier for us to extract information out of the system. **What problems is Award Force solving and how is that benefiting you?** Before we became an Award Force customer, all of our entries, judging, and score tabulation was done manually. I was always able to log in and access/update our information without experiencing errors. We did not use support to design our platform, and I found it fairly easy to create each of the sections with the videos provided. This was our first time running our technician competition, and we chose Award Force as a reliable platform to provide a professional-looking interface. We primarily implemented the registration feature. We were able to collect and easily update a range of information from our competitors. When we had initial issues with accessing the registration the day we went live, Award Force's service team resolved our issue in less than 30 minutes. I also designed the judging/scoring features and found it easy to adjust as we developed the competition details. Our judges eventually opted to complete their scores on paper and submit manually (without even seeing the software option), so I was disappointed we did not get to use the live judging as planned. After the competition, we saw that at least one section would have benefited greatly from using this platform. **What do you dislike about Award Force?** This was a new competition event. Our judges decided to use paper score sheets with manual entry, and scoring ended up being simpler than anticipated. Award Force feels like it is more robust and supports more complex scoring situations than our event needed.
