Well thought out package that covers all aspects of running an award, from entries to judging to galleries and sponsorship. The vendors have a deep understanding of awards and anticipated everything we needed. Good level of flexibility for different kinds of competitions. Award Force provides an API and SSO integration, plus an acceptable level of white-label branding via the GUI. Much more cost-effective than trying to develop it ourselves and a better result than cobbling something together out of off-the-shelf no-code products. Good security, data protection, spam prevention. Good attention to legal issues like conflicts of interest and disclaimers. Very responsive support.

Update: we've just renewed our license for the fourth year. Award Force continues to improve incrementally. I'll add that bringing on new staff members has been fairly frictionless, the software is easy for non-technical admins to get up to speed in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like Award Force because it allows me to be quite specific in what I want applicants, judges, and the public to see. It offers me the ability to have galleries that are up for public voting and includes features that provide professional-facing programs. Over the years, I appreciate the evolution of the platform. The back-end separation allows me to control what judges, applicants, and the public can see, giving me a lot of control. I like the fact that through coding and discounts, I can do just about anything I need on the platform. It is extremely effective at allowing entrants to upload material in nearly any format, and judges can selectively view different categories, and I have a lot of choice in itemizing reviews. Each year, setup gets easier, and I find the tools, prompts, and checklists really helpful. I also think the service is excellent because it provides me 24/7 access to queries and allows me to speak to real people, building relationships with the worldwide team, which helps me feel confident. At times, it can take a bit of effort to locate specific features, as some items in the sidebar are more deeply nested—though I understand the need to keep the interface clean and streamlined. Thankfully, the help search is always easy to find! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The user interface for program managers is excellent. It is easy to see how to enter and edit key information, such as instructions for entrants. I have just finished updating our competition for the next cycle, and found it a simple matter to set new round dates, change entry fields, and adjust pricing and discounts. I tested everything, right through to payment, and it works very well. Our community of entrants has no complaints and finds it straightforward to participate. We did have an issue in the last competition with automatically distributing entries to our judges. There was a glitch of some kind, and some of the entries were not being assigned. However, Award Force support was quick to the rescue. A hardworking technician tackled the problem, tagged all of the orphan entries, and got us into our judging period with only a day's delay. I really appreciate Award Force because the customer service is unmatched. Every time I interact with their team, whether through email or calls, they display expert knowledge of the platform and are always friendly and approachable. They solve any problem efficiently and effectively. Additionally, transitioning to Award Force has been a smooth process, and the initial setup was incredibly easy. Moving away from a manual and time-intensive approach to using Award Force has made a big difference. I love how Award Force makes it extremely user-friendly for both me and the nominees. It helps me efficiently track the progress of our nominees, from considering to acceptance, streamlining the whole awards process. The platform's usability is remarkable as nominees often manage to navigate through without assistance, yet it provides excellent resources if help is needed, ensuring I can support them effectively. I appreciate the organizational capabilities of the platform, specifically how acceptance forms are categorized by 'in progress' and 'submitted' status, facilitating easy monitoring of nominee progress. Additionally, I find the download feature particularly useful, allowing me to receive files directly via email, which adds to the convenience. Even though I did not prefer the recent dashboard update, I liked that Award Force still offered the option to use the old dashboard that aligns better with my role, demonstrating its adaptable nature. I find that locating different settings in Award Force isn't always intuitive, which can be frustrating. I've had to create training cards for myself to remember where to find and adjust these settings, especially since they can easily be overlooked or forgotten between different award seasons. It's incredibly comprehensive in that you can set it up from the application perspective - facing your applicants. You can also organise the judging on there too, so it really takes you from start to finish.

It's quite clunky and not the most intuitive. I struggled to download certain assets quickly and easily, and would've liked some more training on the platform but it doesn't seem like it gives you a dedicated support agent.

It also doesn't pick up on things like if you have a judge who also has entered the awards, then it'd be great if it would automatically stop them judging that category to avoid bias. As far as I can tell it doesn't currently have this feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the high level of customization that Award Force offers. It's the only platform we've found that can handle our very specific requirements.
