Professional support also allows us to migrate from existing systems and tailor-make displays for non-standard purposes. **What do you dislike about Avolution ABACUS?** The statistics display, i.e. charts, could allow more customization such as coloring and axis adjustment **What problems is Avolution ABACUS solving and how is that benefiting you?** In such a big organization, it is difficult to any one member to grasp the impact each componenet might have on others. Abacus has allowed us to easily traced the impact of each component of our architecture which in turns vastly improves our disaster recovery planning and resource management. Abacus has also allowed us to create visualization of our entire architecture so that every member of our organization have an easier time to understand our ecosystem. ### 2. The team on the vendor side (sales, customer success, technical advisors and support) are highly reactive and always available when needed. Its metamodel is highly flexible and can be easily adapted to our specific organisational needs without impacting upgradeability. Abacus can also be scripted very easily using C# or VB.Net and it helped us to automate some of our previously manual calculations and bulk model changes. **What do you dislike about Avolution ABACUS?** The Abacus Studio (admin interface of the tool) is a native Windows application. We use it from the Avolution cloud infrastructure which is very convenient as we do not have to manage local installations. It however sometimes is a little bit sluggish to use. We have however noticed improvements since we started to use the tool in 2022. **What problems is Avolution ABACUS solving and how is that benefiting you?** Abacus provides us with a platform for structured EA management. We primarily rely on it for the management of our application landscape, our product and business capability mapping as well as the business process modelling. ### 3. The most important feature about Abacus is the true data driven EA modelting tool, all presentation will be reflected autmatically based on underline data. With Abacus scrtipts, we are able to achieve standardization and central repository with same look and feel structure for all the application diagram based on underline ServiceNow data. **What do you dislike about Avolution ABACUS?** Abacus does not have a form builder to build the UI for a user friendly data entry page, but this can be resolved with additional customization. **What problems is Avolution ABACUS solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use Abacus to create and maintian all Roadmap with Strategy connected investement, strategy aligned landscape changes on business capability, application and technology products. We also use Abacus as the centralized Application Diagram repo with Abacus scripts to auto-generate (1) logical architecture (2) Interface architecture (3) Deployment architecture for each application with standard notation. ### 4. Out of the box you can model using many different languages and frameworks. The power of entering your models through diagrams or catalogs and automatically rendoring filtered views with a few clicks makes viewpoint generation quite efficient. If you need to interact with stakeholders, using Abacus Enterprise is quite effective, basically allowing anyone with a browser to view and comment on models, etc. The graph model underlying Abacus allows for far more effective analysis. **What do you dislike about Avolution ABACUS?** Avolution is moving more of its modeling practice to Abacus Enterprise (which I agree with), but the product development is not as fast as I'd like to see. **What problems is Avolution ABACUS solving and how is that benefiting you?** Automatic viewpoint conversion from diagrams to catalogs. Graph model traceability across high complexity models. Tracing solutions to reference models for gap analysis and reporting. ### 5. In addition, the principle team always supports every problem that occurs. **What do you dislike about Avolution ABACUS?** Overall, I like everything and it's very helpful, so there's nothing I don't like yet. **What problems is Avolution ABACUS solving and how is that benefiting you?** Related to the addition of several features such as scripting to handle data duplication, federated architecture. That is certainly very helpful for users in overcoming data duplication and integrating data between architectures. ### 6.
