The paid version of AVG protects more than the free one, since it has custom firewalls, and you will not have to depend on the one of windows, has protector of credentials and analyzes everything in real time. Not a bunch of pop-ups associated with AVG, unlike some of the other Internet security downloads. As with any Internet security download there is a pop-up now and again, but compared to other security suites it's not nearly as intrusive.
