**What do you like best about Avature?**

I like how customizable Avature is. It gives us the flexibility to adapt workflows, dashboards, and processes to fit our exact needs, rather than being stuck with rigid templates. That level of control makes it easy to support different teams and evolving requirements.

**What do you dislike about Avature?**

While the platform is highly customizable, there are significant downstream impacts that aren’t always considered during configuration. When something breaks, it often creates a cascade of issues. For example, Avature was down for a few hours recently, which caused hundreds of failed integrations that we had to manually retrigger. Views and workflows also didn’t update automatically. Although we raised these issues with tech support, the response felt reactive rather than proactive—we were expected to identify all impacts ourselves.

Reporting is not user-friendly. There are very few out-of-the-box reports or lists, and we still can’t report on key metrics like time-to-fill, even though we’ve been live since March 2023.

Additionally, it would be extremely helpful if Avature provided a formal Knowledge Transfer (KT) guide. Currently, this does not exist, which makes it challenging for teams to share best practices and ensure smooth transitions when roles or responsibilities change.  A structured KT guide could include documentation standards, workflows, and troubleshooting steps to reduce dependency on reactive support and improve overall efficiency.

**What problems is Avature solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Avature has allowed us to streamline our recruitment process significantly. We’ve also implemented an Onboarding, Hiring Manager, and Referrals Portal, which were previously managed manually.  This automation has reduced administrative work, improved efficiency, and created a better experience for both candidates and internal teams.

**What do you like best about Avature?**

What I like best about Avature is how flexible and customizable it is. I don’t feel locked into a fixed workflow, and it’s easy to adjust dashboards, reports, and pipelines to fit the way my team actually works. The CRM features are also very strong – it’s simple to keep track of candidate history, touchpoints, and long-term engagement, which is really helpful when managing larger talent pools. The search is fast and accurate, especially with advanced filters and Boolean, and overall the interface is clean and easy to navigate.

**What do you dislike about Avature?**

What I dislike about Avature is that the system can feel a bit complex at the start. Since it’s so customizable, the learning curve is higher and new users need some time to get comfortable. At times, the reporting setup takes longer than expected, and certain tasks require extra clicks that could be more streamlined. Also, because of the wide range of features, occasional system slowdowns happen when handling very large data sets.

**What problems is Avature solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Avature helps solve the challenge of managing a large and diverse candidate pool. Instead of working across multiple spreadsheets or tools, everything is centralized – from sourcing and engagement to interview tracking and reporting. This saves a lot of time and ensures no candidate slips through the cracks. The automation features reduce repetitive manual work, while the strong CRM capabilities make it easier to build long-term relationships with talent. Overall, it has improved team collaboration, hiring efficiency, and the candidate experience.

Avature is highly configuarble platform. We have control over how we set up for each client and can bespoke this to each clients needs. Avature is intuitive, easy to use for our recruiters and other teams alike. New features implemented throughout the year, good knowledge sharing of these new features and how they can be implemented for our clients. Customer support is of good quality as is the Account management support.

Timescales around new integrations/projects which can be costly and have a minimum 3 month wait time to get picked up by implementations

Avature is the most flexible tool that I have ever used and gives our business partners so many options to create solutions to help drive the business forward. From my experience, it is the most flexible platform in the human resources space.

The only downside I have experience so far is the inability to work in the fastest way possible when needing a new solution implemented.

Avature is rolling out new ways to help its clients increase the speed at which to implement new solutions. The roadmap for solution improvement helps us envision how they are solving the shortage of employees needed to roll out a new solution quickly

Avature's platform has been instrumental to our organizations advancement in the Recruiting and Hiring space. There are near limitless configuration options, and the technical support team can help admins create and accomplish a wide range of goals. The platform is evolving at a rapid pace, and the technology is at the top of the industry.

**What do you dislike about Avature?**

Because it is a newer and growing system, it seems like sometimes the resources can be spread a bit thin. Account Managers are knowledgeable and super helpful, but that secondary level of support within their project hierarchy can be a little slow at times. That being said, priority items are still escalated and expedited through multiple channels.

Avature is helping industry automation through their proprietary AI algorithms, which are going to drive the next wave of features as organizations look to maximize their efficiency in staffing departments.

Through automation and streamlining of processes we were able to create a better candidate experience and improve efficiency within the HR department. Many elements were improved dramatically, from email communications with candidates, manager and HR colleagues, a seamless automated emerging talent workflow and contracts and new starter forms being automated, and manual data entry and uploading removed.

**What do you dislike about Avature?**

Avature has so much capability, but it takes time to look into the detail and implement. The power of time is so important in a recruitment market.

**What problems is Avature solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Previously, from application to onboarding stage, we would work between 3 separate systems as well as Excel trackers. This meant that time was being wasted by both employees and candidates on duplication of data. Our Recruitment and Admin teams were spending vast amounts of time doing low value activities like pushing candidates through statuses, emailing CV’s via Outlook to Line Managers to review, emailing candidates to arrange interviews, posting and receiving onboarding forms and then typing the data into systems.

Automation and configurability. An ATS with robust CRM functionality, and Power BI level reporting at your fingertips makes Avature top in class from my perspective.

**What do you dislike about Avature?**

Avature's features are priced separately, so it may take some convincing to get your organization to spring for the bells and whistles. Texting functionality needs some additional work - no ability to auto-attach opt out language, or automate actions based on responses.

**What problems is Avature solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Avature is excellent at reducing clicks and screens needed to perform actions. The automation keeps recruiters focused on work closest to the hire - conducting interviews, and less on the administrative burden of managing a candidate pipeline.

Avature has a large roadmap on which many functionalities are noted, many of those can also help us in our daily business and simplify it significantly. One example is the Portal Builder, which we are very excited about. Here, customers are offered additional possibilities to work more independently without having to go to Avature in each case.

**What do you like best about Avature?**

With the implementation of Avature we achieved the using of one global recruitment system. That means that not only all the global HR colleagues work together on one platform but also our internal and external applicants as well as our Hiring Managers all over the world use one system. With that, we follow one common approach and with that we are also able to challenge, to discuss and to be able to handle the future HR Challenges - together. And with the Support of Avature as a system and as a partner, we can connect with other companies and can profit from the knowledge and the input from many different people.

**What do you dislike about Avature?**

Sometimes with regards to new projects like implmenting an interface to another system it would be great to have a consultant fixed more faster. I would like to see improvements in having a poc for special projects.

**What problems is Avature solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For our company the most helpful thing about Avature in the first row was that we could implement one common approach with regards to recruit internal and external candidates. We use one platform and are able to adapt changes quit fast. The other thing about Avature which we like is that we can automate processes, save time for other things and also giving the best user experience to our applicants, our hiring managers and our recruiters.

I like almost nothing about Avature. Only plus is that you can see all the reqs assigned to you in one place.

**What do you dislike about Avature?**

The UI make no sense, there is an overwhelming amount of information on each page, and no obvious structure or hierarchy of information. It takes me 20 minutes to find a candidate's resume each time.

We use Avature as our applicant tracking system but it's not benefiting me at all

**What do you like best about Avature?**

Automatic Workflows for different target groups. 
Information can be presented in Dashboards with lists and powerful reports.
So many ways to configure the tool.
Insights in Integrations to other systems.

**What do you dislike about Avature?**

Lack of transparency when it comes to Releases and updates on Avature side. Unexpected changes lead to defects and hours of researching.
Lack of support through Account Management. Advise and information to improve the instance and use new features is missing.

Providing much flexibility to change business processes easily. 
Configuration changes in production can be made every day. 
The Admin herself can manage integrations. 
Workload is reduced due to many automatic steps.

**What do you like best about Avature?**

The customizable nature of the solution is excellent for teams that need heavy segmentation and complex data models. Workflows are powerful and the features added to work with portals are impressive. Overall it's a great software for anyone looking to capture and leverage a large amount of data. The ability to communicate effectively outside the platform via forms, landing pages, and portals is a true selling point.

**What do you dislike about Avature?**

There often seem to be inconsistencies within the product itself.  Developmental sloppiness is a problem across the entire platform. I would expect this of a true start-up, but not of one that often references its 15+ years of experience. It seems to have been lost that you can develop quickly and in an agile way and still develop with integrity. 

I am constantly finding incongruities and running into problems, which is remarkable. Yet, the Technical Support team at Avature are so infuriatingly challenging to work with that it's not worth it most of the time to bring it up.  I say TS, but in reality, it's clear that this is an internal problem across teams. The lack of communication between your various groups shines through in how easily tickets get lost, are ignored, or take far too long to fix (how long does it take to change the value in a config, really? Weeks? Is that being justified internally somehow?). The operations team has failed tremendously in its cross-team organization. It's understood that lower-tier clients will receive less attention, but that should not equate to me spending my time correcting and directing your teams when work needs to be completed or bugs need to be fixed.

Don't even get me started on how Avature will try to charge you for work that needs to be done because of THEIR poor development. It's ridiculous.

The issues above and the "AI" solutions being marketed are the biggest reasons I would not recommend using Avature. When I do, it's with significant caveats.

We manage essentially all internal operations related to customer interactions and projects in Avature (think a combined AM, TS, Deployment situation).

I think the flexibility of Avature is the best feature. They focus on building a platform for our administrators to build creative solutions for our end users.

Because of the system's complexity, there have been a few times when new features or updates have unintended consequences. We then work with them to update as needed.

Avature provides more control, visibility and transparency to our recruiting and hiring processes. We've been able to standardize things across campus to everyone's benefit.

**What do you like best about Avature?**

Avature has done so much for us in terms of streamlining our processes and access to information. It has also helped us a lot in our unique siloing needs to keep our Sales teams, TA/HR, Business Development and Management teams' data separate and secure.

**What do you dislike about Avature?**

Unfortunately, it is not the most intuitive and user-friendly product to set up, though somewhat expected due to the number of integrations, customizable features and functionality. Also, although Avature's team is continuing to improve and enhance their reporting tools, creating and coding in internal reports can be a bit buggy and difficult to figure out.

**What problems is Avature solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the biggest issues we had was how do we reduce the number of systems we are using across our teams whilst also keeping the same amount of privacy and security for each team's data. On top of that, how do we streamline the processes we already have in place and reduce the amount of admin work for our operation teams and the amount of data entry of our recruiters. Avature has helped us with all of these issues, from creating unique roles and systems that dynamically silo the level of access each user has, to creating automation flows that reduce the amount of admin work our employees need to do in order for them to focus on more pressing tasks.

The flexibility wihtin the System. Nearly all elements in the Backend can be defined and edited by the user. This allows us to create individual processes and solutions.

In the past we have been struggling with some projects "After Go Live". As soon as the Templates development Team needs to be involved we had several issues. Mainly there where for our need not enough communication by Avature (e.g. Timelines, Milestones, Dates to provide necessary Data from us to Avature, Confirmation of Testing Time etc.). Here I see much potential for improvement to keep happy customers.

Having one common workflow allowing different user groups to have their own requirements included.

Timing is everything when trying to resolve an unexpected issue and their being conscientious of the needs of their customers makes them a leader in customer service in my opinion.

I would say the restrictions on permissions/access granted to specific actions within the system. Giving the customer more autonomy to make edits/updates to existing features/functionality.

Sourcing for candidates. We are in the food industry, so we have a high turnover, and ensuring our restaurants are staffed at all times is a high priority with our company. And being able to have that pool of applicants and leads continuously ensures that we meet our business's needs.

Avature is highly user-friendly. adding candidates is easy, linking them to pipelines and jobs is easy. The user interface is simple yet inclusive of features. finding details about the candidate is very easy at anyplace in the ATS.

there is no option for bulk uploading resume. the avature ats needs one to add each candidate one by one and link them to the job id. this makes having recruitment events difficult.

Preferably a better ats. you can have a seperate CRM of Avature to keep a two tab tracking system as well and it helps to clarify and clear out duplicacies.

I am using the avature to keep a tract of applicants and sourced profiles for my job requirement. the software has worked as good as bullhorn or jobdiva that i used in the past.

When you do need Avature to develop customized features, they are usually possible but resources in the development team and support teams can mean you have to wait a while. (but a lot is already in the customers hands so it's not always an issue)

Zoom integration, having a standard integration with video platforms means we can schedule interviews without the need for human interaction.
