What do you like best about Avalara?

I like Avalara's website because it is very easy to use. Connecting with support when needed is also straightforward. Submitting a ticket is fairly quick, and we are usually able to solve our issues quickly. Avalara provides us more time for other tax projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Avalara?

I wish we could see more of the sales tax returns before we have to approve. The initial setup wasn’t too bad, but it was time-consuming and we had to adjust a lot to get everything correct. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Avalara?

The software does most of the work for you. I don't have to keep up with thousands of rates or state laws. It also is a huge time saver with filing returns and keeping up with certificates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Avalara?

I find Avalara efficient. They also communicate quickly, which is something I really appreciate. I like the tax calculator because we are project-based, and it's great to see the tax rates ahead of time. The initial setup was very easy, as both teams worked well together. I like the ease Avalara provides in bringing current state tax information to us, which we can easily apply and integrate with Intuit. It integrates smoothly with QuickBooks online and our invoicing, making the process seamless. I also value the support team, especially when faced with some technology challenges. What do you like best about Avalara?

My favorite thing about Avalara is that it automatically updates tax laws and rules so we don't have to track them as closely. This greatly reduces the time our business units spend on invoicing and the time we spend on compliance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Avalara?

I believe the document management features, tax calculations, and the process of filing returns are important aspects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Avalara?

I believe that the quality of support has declined since the support team was moved overseas. There have been multiple times when I needed help with an issue, but because the support is based abroad, communication was restricted to only one email exchange per day, which made resolving problems more difficult.

In addition some of the email reports are misleading. We have been emailed multiple times stating we are out of validations when that is incorrect. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
