They don't stand by their product and claim the issue with their sales tax not displaying in the sales tax field is a quickbooks 'display error'. The ability to organize customer certificates and maintain records easily. Being able to quickly and easily validate certificates keeps our business moving because our customers do not want to pay sales tax when possible, so having an efficient system to add certificates means they can order quickly without paying sales tax. I like that Avalara is reliable. The good thing is that customer support is of a high standard, and the technical staff are knowledgeable. Reporting - I would appreciate a bit more flexibility in terms of generating them. I'd like to be able to enable or disable specific columns from the set reports - at the moment I need to use Excel to do it after report generation which is a bit inconvenient. My favorite part of using Avatax is that they are comprehensive. We no longer have to collect the data and upload it into a program or try to figure it out on our own. They figure the tax on each order, create reports at the end of every month and then file with each state and locality which we are registered with.
