"Great application for getting a good view of large, complex networks"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Auvik?

How it automatically maps out networks and interfaces and creates a connection map of everything. Super simple to get started with and integrate into an existing network. The application is quite through in scanning your network. Docker image is interesting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auvik?

On the original startup guide, the API key for using a Linux VM is displayed only on the Windows application page. That wasn't immediately clear in the beginning. Also, the host the Collector runs on needs open permissions to everything, otherwise it's not very useful, and even if the Collector is secure, the server it runs on becomes a security risk. "Amazing Software with Real Network Insights"
5/5
What do you like best about Auvik?

Everything! Auvik is a great tool for monitoring devices on the network, troubleshooting network issues, and even keeping track of when a printer is out of ink or paper. This is really the best network monitoring software I have used. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auvik?

It is not always the simplest to set up. If you run into issues though, customer support is just a click away. They will help you to integrate devices and services with ease. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good Data in Good Data out"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Auvik?

Auvik is an INCREDIBLY handy product that given appropriate monitors has saved my butt a number of times. It's flexible, performant and gives me a LARGE amount of metrics I can use to determine what I need when my network is having issues and gives me enough history to fix things that are long standing issues Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auvik?

It takes a LOT of simple work to set up. If you don't have the time to properly set it up you won't get value out of it but provided you have the TIME to it's great Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Really easy to deploy, full of informations, too much informations ?"
4/5
What do you like best about Auvik?

The process is really easy, it took about 15 min to be up and running and start discovering.

I contacted a tech support to review my setup and everything was fine

Integration is made easy as you only need to setup some credentials to grab lots of info

I am already addict and I can't stop looking at it all the time ! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auvik?

Sometime, if you don't have a big screen, It will be needed to reduce the views a lot as there is a lot of available infos on the screen in same time Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Network monitoring made easy"
5/5
What do you like best about Auvik?

I love the ability to work with support and actually see improvement to the product. The UI is one of the easiest to use. There are many features I am still learning. It was quite easy to implement and the support team was more than helpful during the process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auvik?

Some growing pains as we introduced large networks. It also seems there was a few times updates weren't really tested thoroughly before being released. Still hard to dislike, as the issues were always rectified promptly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The amount of probes, integration, reports and alerts. The ease of use and implementation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auvik?

It tends to get laggy in a huge network environment, however it could be an issue with the windows agent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent thorough access from anywhere after some slightly fiddly setup"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Auvik?

It has everything in one place in a secure dashboard I can access from anywhere. Supports almost all my devices and is easy and standardised to setup integration with them, with a variety of options for connectivity and support for multiple LANs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auvik?

Can be a bit fiddly to make sure stuff is connected correctly, manual override buttons would be helpful to force a scan on a particular IP address or to update a specific device when stuff isn't working perfectly on the first pass.

I can see it being used in a large business with many many devices, but for a small business like mine it's too expensive for my needs, and could possibly look into different price tiers and functionality for smaller needs.

It feels to me that a windows install is the most prioritised method of installation and is what I eventually went with, as docker and a VM were not reliable enough for me, but this may have just been my particular setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Auvik is a good option for you if don't have the time or good equipment."
2.5/5
What do you like best about Auvik?

Auvik is really simple to set up, took no time at all, as I chose the virtual machine Implementation. No configuration necessary, just throw it into VMware and its up and connected. Difficulty during setup can be a real turn off but one of the main points of this service is the ease of use. As for it's uses, I never had a problem with it auto-configuring my network devices, and once the credentials were in it worked well for device monitoring. All it asked for was a credential and everything was up and running. I like the notification reporting, I know if I ever had an issue it would be the first to let me know through the portal and email. Also the network topology mapping is on par or better than anything else I've personnally worked with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auvik?

The convience of the trial is really nice, but looking at the pricing, with my implementation, its just not worth it. If you spend good money on Ubiquiti and comprable equipment, it virtually replaces this product. If you had the time you can set up all the alerts and monitoring for free with enough time spent. If you don't have the time, and you arn't seeing the money going away yourself, I'd use it. Other than that, I'd only imagine looking in here maybe 3-4 times a week or more if I run into issues with the network. With all things considered, its just not worth it for my use case. "Auvik came in and hit a home run!"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Auvik?

Auvik was able to scan a network unknown to me and map it out. This helped tremendously with the task of upgrading all network equipment. Talk about a time saver! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Auvik?

The only thing about Auvik that can be frustrating is that it can be difficult to manually assign associations between network elements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
