## Auvik Reviews
 ### 1. Effortless and Fast Deployment with Auvik

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Auvik?**

The best thing about Auvik is Its Easy and quick deployment and easy integration, but only with known companies. Customer support is excellent, especially the information online.

**What do you dislike about Auvik?**

I dislike some functionality because I cannot add MIBs, and I sometimes receive random emails about firmware changes, even though these issues occurred a long time ago, resulting in delayed notifications. I don't like Octopus Maps. I would rather have some manual option for mapping and displaying it, or Chart mapping.

**What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing routing and switching infrastructure. Reporting is very helpful.

 ### 2. Excellent Network Visualization Tool!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marcus A. | IT Consultant & Network Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Auvik?**

Visualization and point and click review of operations within Auvik. It does require proper setup of SNMP and other methods of accessing configuration, and if you use a device that Auvik doesnt have MIB support for yet, it may not provide as much as you hoped, but in the majority of cases it is excellent. Where it can support it with the device, it does configuration comparisons, which is extremely helpful. Traffic monitoring, alerting and much much more.

**What do you dislike about Auvik?**

Despite its ease of use, sometimes it will have trouble with certain devices/models, mis-identifying what it is, or unable to provide enough context from the data it is receiving to be worth having monitored. But they usually will get around to fixing that in Auvik.

**What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Visualising and analysing network topology, connectivity and performance, as well as alerts, error reports and configurations.

 ### 3. Automated Config Backups Make Rapid Equipment Rollouts Easy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** C O. | Sales, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Auvik?**

Auvik allows us to automate backups of configurations. This allows for a rapid rollout of replacement equipment

**What do you dislike about Auvik?**

It takes time to configure correctly. The wait is worth it

**What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rapid network deployment

 ### 4. A Very Powerful Network Mapping & Monitoring

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** kapil r. | software engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Auvik?**

What I like best about Auvik is how effortlessly it maps out the entire network. The automatic device discovery and live topology view make it really easy to understand what’s connected where, without having to dig through a bunch of configs or spreadsheets. It’s super helpful for troubleshooting too, you can literally see issues as they happen. Plus, the interface is clean and pretty intuitive, even for someone who’s not deep into networking every day.

**What do you dislike about Auvik?**

The billing can get confusing, especially with how “billable devices” are counted. Also, the network maps sometimes show weird or inaccurate links in larger setups.

**What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Auvik helps me quickly identify network issues by giving real-time alerts and a clear visual of what's happening across the network. It also saves a lot of time by automatically backing up device configurations and keeping everything organized. Overall, it makes managing and troubleshooting the network way easier and less stressful.

 ### 5. Greatest Network Monitoring Software - Hands Down!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt K. | Director of Information Technology, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2020

**What do you like best about Auvik?**

Auvik provides easy deployment, management, and consistent monitoring. They're constantly enhancing the platform to increase security, usability, and functionality.

Auvik's service is amazing; never have I had such amazing support experiences. Quick, friendly, professional.

**What do you dislike about Auvik?**

Deployment refinement takes time and practice. Out of the gate, ensuring devices are properly detected takes a bit of know how. This is easily mitigated by configuring logins and SNMP prior to deploying collectors.

**Recommendations to others considering Auvik:**

Take Auvik for a test drive. They are a phenomenal company to work with. Their product is astounding, their support is amazing, and they're always adding new and innovative features to better not only their platform, but also the MSP market.

They are, what one should consider, the gold standard of corporate partnership.

**What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have expanded our proactive network monitoring and are able to more efficiently resolve outage issues.

Every device on every one of our networks is monitored and recording data. Astounding details and tracking.

there is not much bad i could say about auvik.

**What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

 ### 10. Review of Auvik

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jamie T. | Service Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Auvik?**

I have not found Auvik benefitial in any way.

**What do you dislike about Auvik?**

The network maps are all over the place with connections that do not even physically exits. I have been in the IT industry for 30+ years and this is the worst network monitoring application I have found. MikroTik Dude and Nagios are much more accurate and much more useful.

**What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None. I try to use it but it provides no insite and it is very confusing with connections that do not exits. I have done a review directly with them about this. All I got was 2 emails and a phone call but it still has not been made anymore useful in my day to day work.

 ### 11. Great tool for small teams, not for enterprise.

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Auvik?**

I think that the user interface is easy to use and intuitive. The Map feature (when it works) is a great way to show clients what's going on behind the curtain. The SaaS nature of the product makes it easy to deploy, network scans also are a big plus. The SaaS platform rarely has outages, and when it does, support is timely about communicating this to us.

**What do you dislike about Auvik?**

When we first started using Auvik NMS, it was a big upgrade from the old platform that we had been on. The collectors where useful and easy to deploy. The Fortinet FortiAPI integration was superb, as most of our customer fleet is Fortigate. The alerting integrated with Autotask, our PSA tool. Getting tickets to our 24/7 folks was easy.

Eventually, Auvik seems to have changed there focus. The NMS platform seems to be pushed to the side. The FortiAPI feature that was so useful broke. Support was not able to help us. The collectors started experiencing an issue that would cause then to go offline unexpectedly. (Due to a log overflowing). Support was not able to help us. We later found that the Ubuntu OS that our collectors use are not all up to date. Again, support was not able to help us. The Autotask integration as the option to import assets. This feature uses to many API Calls and caused our mail processing to stop working in our PSA. This is still not fixed.

If you call support today, you get a someone that does not work for Auvik. They fill out a from for you, and email it. There is no difference to email support. If we needed urgent support, I'm not confident that we could get help with our 2h SLA.

**What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Auvik helps us with our day to day operations.

 ### 12. Great Network Insights and Effortless Auto-Mapping

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

Great insights to our network and auto mapping

**What do you dislike about Auvik?**

takes some time to get everything configured but worth it

**What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

mapping out our network and identifying any bottlenecks

 ### 13. Auvik Review

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Esaul G. | IOC Team Manager, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Auvik?**

Automated Network Discovery & Mapping, it automatically discovers every device connected to the network

**What do you dislike about Auvik?**

Cost/ pricing as is based on the number of devices that we monitor.

**What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Auvik automates network visibility, monitoring, and management — solving complexity, risk, and scalability problems for IT teams

 ### 14. good for up/down monitor but lacks depth and customization of UI tiles

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Martin E. | Senior System Administrator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Auvik?**

ease to setup, configure with login and snmp. notifications if devices goes down

**What do you dislike about Auvik?**

UI cannot be customized to show more indepth information like packet loss. there is no alert setup if a port has 0 traffic for x time. this is helpful if some firewall port has 0 traffic but port status is UP, e.g. VPN adapter.

**What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

network gear downtime

 ### 15. Auvik excelence in network monitoring

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Auvik?**

The newly added Traffic Insight function makes troubleshooting and monitoring even easier.

**What do you dislike about Auvik?**

Some devices are still incompatible with Auvik.

**What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Monitoring multiple networks can be difficult without a tool that facilitate the monitoring. Auvik is the one that will help you with that.

 ### 16. Great Network Monitoring Tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jovany L. | Systems and Infrastructure Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Auvik?**

The network maps, the interface monitoring and the user interface

**What do you dislike about Auvik?**

The time it takes to create reports and that not all of them are customizable.

**What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automatic Backup Configurations, it helps network engineers to see changes in the configuration made against the last backup

 ### 17. Auvik - A versatile tool that provides detailed infrastructure mapping, monitoring & alerting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aleksandar T. | Chief Operations Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2024

**What do you like best about Auvik?**

Deplyoment / Rollout of Auvik across the multiple sites we manage was a breeze, customiazation of event triggers was simple and intuitive.
Ability to leverage Auvik's management platform for documenation and infrastructure mapping was a huge benefit.
Integration of Auvik into our existing monitoring / alerting ecosystem was a huge selling point. (PagerDuty)
The Auvik platform is super easy to use, our team (unfamiliar with Auvik, was using the platform within hours of getting the rollout completed)
The internal teams (Customer Success, Sales Engineering & Support) have been outgoing and have demonstrated great care in ensuring that we hit the ground running and that the deployment is succesfull!

**What do you dislike about Auvik?**

Nothing at this time, some flexibility / new features would come in super handy in the future:

syslog alerting & triggering
custom monitoring script alerting (specialized services)
API endpoint monitoring

**What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Infrastructure monitoring
Production Service monitoring
Network Monitoring
Asset Management & Documentation

 ### 18. Probably the easiest way to enhance your network visibility and efficiency

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Manuela K. | Senior DevOps Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2024

**What do you like best about Auvik?**

The management of the company’s network has been greatly benefited by Auvik. One of the convenient tools is the friendly interface of the program, which allows to get a general idea of the structure of the network in use. Another beneficial function of the software is in easily mapping the network and identifying problems. Subsequently, incorporating Auvik with other software such as, SolarWinds has helped to make the monitoring and management of networks easier and effective.

**What do you dislike about Auvik?**

Auvik has some disadvantages that have to do with the price range that can be unattainable for small businesses. On the one hand, the interface furnishes the user with a lot of information and seems very logical, on the other hand modifying existing reports and trying to obtain certain data can sometimes become a very tedious process. This can hamper such explanations when it comes to cost justification or produce detailed information which is valuable when making decisions as well as managing resources.

**What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Some of the network management issues that we can face can be solved with the help of Auvik, which provides real time monitoring and problems solving tools. This has also led to less time consumed in solving network issues and also less network downtime, which has contributed to higher network reliability. Our IT department can now enjoy proactive, productive work since the automated network mapping and alerting system started notifying the potential issues first and enabling their immediate solutions.

 ### 19. In my opinion this is the best way to enhance network visibility and operational efficiency

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vitou C. | Senior network engineer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2024

**What do you like best about Auvik?**

The strongest aspect of Auvik is network management, which provides clear outlines for our network configuration. It makes it easy to supervise devices, traffic and performance figures in a control panel. Compatibility with other applications including ticketing platforms and monitoring tools is seamless, which enhances the capability of our functioning. And alerts and monitoring tools, which can handle situations in real time, are most suitable for prompt issue solving.

**What do you dislike about Auvik?**

However, Auvik’s setup and configuration is cumbersome and requires a lot of skill to master even at the initial levels. Due to this complexity, we have sometimes been slow to fully adopt and use the capabilities of this approach. Furthermore, its broad visibility into the network has its advantages and cons for a beginner, for the broad data which it captures may be too complex to analyze without appropriate guidance. These factors have at times impacted the level of efficiency during the use during setup processes as well as operational usage.

**What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Concerning network visibility and management, Auvik helps to point and explain the nature of existing network infrastructure. It also help us to manage or evaluate the devices performance, the traffic flow or even troubleshoot network problems easily. Efficiency enhancing tools include functioning areas such as backing up of configuration models of devices and mapping of the existing and required network. In totality, Auvik boosts our networking reliability, operations, and effectiveness in responding to problems faced by our team and clients thereby delivering optimized operations and usability.

 ### 20. Good system for admins

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Johangel B. | Technical Alignment Team Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2024

**What do you like best about Auvik?**

Visibility on the network is way better. Troubleshooting is way better.

**What do you dislike about Auvik?**

Nothing really. Accuracy sometimes is not there.

**What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Troubleshooting existing issues and working on documentation.

 ### 21. A helpful way to centralize a wide variety of network management needs

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jacob M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2024

**What do you like best about Auvik?**

I really enjoy having all my network elements in a centralized secure location. Wether i want to check in on routing and how my switches are communicating, too checking logs and remote management of servers. Auvik does it all.

**What do you dislike about Auvik?**

I do wish auvik had more mobile support. I use auvik while on the go and there mobile web interface leaves something to be desired. they should create a companion app that can link into your collector locally or even though auviks servers to see it from anywhere. Make it easier for admins on the go!

**What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having all my different network elements aggregated to a single location. Making monitoring simple across platforms that arent easily compared without auvik

 ### 22. Solid Product So Far...

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rob Z. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2024

**What do you like best about Auvik?**

After deploying the trial for a few days, here's what I've assessed:

-Simple to navigate and quick to grasp, ideal for providing a comprehensive view of all network devices.
-Comprehensive array of alarms that prove valuable in identifying issues across various devices.
-Diverse selection of makes and models for a wide range of devices.
-Seemingless endless useful metrics for those who like data
-Quick to deploy and logical UI with an abundance of features
-Alerts and notifications are superb

**What do you dislike about Auvik?**

Although it's only been a few days of using it, I've noticed:

-Initial data and warning overload posed management challenges.
-Not all devices are supported
-Those with legacy equipment may not be able to fully utilize all features
-Deciso products with OPNSense are not supported, Netgate hardware and pfSense is supported however

**What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mostly monitoring and diagnostics for client networks

 ### 23. Really solid network mapping and SNMP monitoring platform...

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Justin H. | Enterprise Information Security Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Auvik?**

Really solid network mapping and SNMP monitoring platform. Very easy to implement with lots of out of the box deployment options. Good Visual Mapping of product. Great platform integration with various device types. When you drill down on an object there are validations and queues for enabling additional available functionalities. Very intuiative interface. Responsive Customer Service. This will become your go to product that you will frequently use daily.

**What do you dislike about Auvik?**

The account credential storage is challenging to setup. The error handling details when account credentials fail to validate could use some enhancement. Also there should be tighter integration and interaction for Windows servers and machines (i.e. - Remote management and RDP) Additionally there should be an offline version of the solution. Cloud based solution may not fit every organizations security posture. While cloud is what tech writers like to tout as the only way to go more secuirtity minded organizatons are likely to view certain things like network topology as detail that should be airgapped and not visable by outside parties.

**What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Visually mapping of complex network topologies.

 ### 24. Great product for network monitoring

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonathan J. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2024

**What do you like best about Auvik?**

If you are using multiple different products, Auvik replace all of these with one product. The more information that you place into Auvik the more it is able to do. If you provide read only credentials it is able to grab configurations from devices in case something happens to the device.

**What do you dislike about Auvik?**

It can become too much information and the topology map looks like a bowl of Spaghetti and hard to read. The alerting has to be tweaked as well or you end up with a bunch of useless notifications that start to get annoying.

**What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Auvik helps to combine multiple network monitoring solutions into one product instead of having multiple.

 ### 25. Auvik has been great for visualizing client networks &getting alerted to network issues in real time

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Louis G. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Auvik?**

We use Auvik for 2x main purposes:

*Visualizing client networks to improve our documentation and also to make it easier for our technicians to troubleshoot issues.

*Be alerted in our CW Manage ticketing system whenever there are network issues in real time.

**What do you dislike about Auvik?**

One minor annoyance is when there are issues with network devices flapping online and offline, and it generates many tickets which are opened and closed off within a few minutes or seconds. It would be great to have a function where if an alert opened/closed more than a certain number of times within a month it would stay open to make sure we know about it and could investigate.

**What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Auvik helps us primarily to be notified in real time when there are issues on our client's network, so by the time the client contacts us about the issue we are already aware of it.

 ### 26. Easy setup, lots of info

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Networking | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2024

**What do you like best about Auvik?**

Auvik makes it extremely easy to monitor your network(s), and get into your network devices. I was shocked when the Auvik collector was able to get into a firewall that we could not get into with SSH/Telnet.

The collector built a network topology in minutes, when other tools (Network Glue) fought me every step and didn't show anything.

Very easy to integrate into our environments, simple setup, easy to get onto a network, with multiple ways to implement (VMware, Windows collector).
I will probably end up using this every day for all my customers!

**What do you dislike about Auvik?**

I wish the network topology map was easier to work with, but that's a minor inconvenience. It still works plenty well enough for my purposes.

**What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Network performance monitoring can be a bear to set up, but Auvik walks you thorugh step-by-step with what it needs you to give it so it can see all the aspects of the network.

 ### 27. Auvik has been an absolute eye-opener at our small not-for-profit.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Taylor B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2023

**What do you like best about Auvik?**

It's provided me valuable insight into how our network topology looks and functions. I arrived to a mess of a network stack with no documentation and nearly zero institutional knowledge. Auvik was critical in getting me the info I needed rapidly to hit the ground running and make an impact to the company right away.

**What do you dislike about Auvik?**

It is almost too feature rich and complex. I had a hard time finding the data I wanted to to document through the options. This isn't a terrible problem to have, mind you, but it did take some time and youtube videos to really be able to use this effectively.

**What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Most recently I needed to determine how much of our internet 'pipe' we were using on an average day; not bandwidth per se, but how much of our 500mb down/up were we drawing, on average, through the business day. Using Auvik I was able to capture that data and give a meaningful answer to that question that resulted in us taking advantage of 1gig fiber contract that was being offered at a very reduced rate from the local cable company.

 ### 28. Awesome Product that we all love

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Simon C. | Senior Technical Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2024

**What do you like best about Auvik?**

the ease of use and setup. we where able to get the product setup in an extremely short period of time and got a huge amount of feedback from it, the integration in to our networking equipment is brilliant and customer support has been extremely good so far.

**What do you dislike about Auvik?**

so far we have not found anything we dislike.

**What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Auvik is allowing us to see more on our network then we have seen before, it is pulling in information that is allowing us to view the network in a really nice friendly system.

 ### 29. Quick and Easy Control

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joe S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Auvik?**

The overview of the entire network environment has been a game-changer for my role at my company. It provides me insight into my client's settings so I can confidently answer their questions on their network and it is also really useful to have that whole map that generates for the business. While it is not used every day by other people on my team, we do have it integrated into other platforms that can notify us of any potential outages with devices.

**What do you dislike about Auvik?**

The only downside of using Auvik is that, in some instances, you have to dive down a couple of tabs to find the information you are looking for, but once you know where to look, then it becomes second nature and quick to operate each time.

**What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Auvik is solving the limitations of having visibility into a client's network. With Auvik, I can monitor device health and even generate reports based on the data collected.

 ### 30. All the visibility you need, and more...

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Auvik?**

The visibility and integrations it has to offer. It streamlines our operations and makes our lives easier.

**What do you dislike about Auvik?**

For starters it's hard to get to know all the different features it has to offer. You must take some time to navigate through all the options to get used to it.

**What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Monitoring. It gives us the ability to send alerts to our ticketing system (CW manage) which streamlines our operations.

 ### 31. Great application for getting a good view of large, complex networks

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nasir K. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 01, 2023

**What do you like best about Auvik?**

How it automatically maps out networks and interfaces and creates a connection map of everything. Super simple to get started with and integrate into an existing network. The application is quite through in scanning your network. Docker image is interesting.

**What do you dislike about Auvik?**

On the original startup guide, the API key for using a Linux VM is displayed only on the Windows application page. That wasn't immediately clear in the beginning. Also, the host the Collector runs on needs open permissions to everything, otherwise it's not very useful, and even if the Collector is secure, the server it runs on becomes a security risk.

**What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Visually conveying the layout and implementation of a network without manually mapping it out. For very complex networks, it's extremely useful.

 ### 32. Amazing Software with Real Network Insights

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2024

**What do you like best about Auvik?**

Everything! Auvik is a great tool for monitoring devices on the network, troubleshooting network issues, and even keeping track of when a printer is out of ink or paper. This is really the best network monitoring software I have used.

**What do you dislike about Auvik?**

It is not always the simplest to set up. If you run into issues though, customer support is just a click away. They will help you to integrate devices and services with ease.

**What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are looking for a product that will help us identify what is on the network, alert us if the network is down after hours, and overal helps us to maintain a healthy network.

 ### 33. Good Data in Good Data out

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tyson R. | Senior Systems Administrator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Auvik?**

Auvik is an INCREDIBLY handy product that given appropriate monitors has saved my butt a number of times. It's flexible, performant and gives me a LARGE amount of metrics I can use to determine what I need when my network is having issues and gives me enough history to fix things that are long standing issues

**What do you dislike about Auvik?**

It takes a LOT of simple work to set up. If you don't have the time to properly set it up you won't get value out of it but provided you have the TIME to it's great

**What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Auvik gives us network monitoring solution that provides metrics and dynamic network mapping we've never seen elsewhere

 ### 34. Really easy to deploy, full of informations, too much informations ?

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gonzague V. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Auvik?**

The process is really easy, it took about 15 min to be up and running and start discovering.
I contacted a tech support to review my setup and everything was fine
Integration is made easy as you only need to setup some credentials to grab lots of info
I am already addict and I can't stop looking at it all the time !

**What do you dislike about Auvik?**

Sometime, if you don't have a big screen, It will be needed to reduce the views a lot as there is a lot of available infos on the screen in same time

**What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are now able to see every possible trouble about our network devices in the same place

 ### 35. Network monitoring made easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sage T. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Auvik?**

I love the ability to work with support and actually see improvement to the product. The UI is one of the easiest to use. There are many features I am still learning. It was quite easy to implement and the support team was more than helpful during the process.

**What do you dislike about Auvik?**

Some growing pains as we introduced large networks. It also seems there was a few times updates weren't really tested thoroughly before being released. Still hard to dislike, as the issues were always rectified promptly.

**What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had too many alerts and too much data going into the last monitoring tool. It also was too expensive. Auvik has streamlined this data, and does it in a more cost effective manner.

 ### 36. Best tool for network monitoring

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anthony H. | IT Service Delivery Associate , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Auvik?**

The amount of probes, integration, reports and alerts. The ease of use and implementation.

**What do you dislike about Auvik?**

It tends to get laggy in a huge network environment, however it could be an issue with the windows agent.

**What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Network monitoring, automated backups in SSH enabled devices.

 ### 37. Excellent thorough access from anywhere after some slightly fiddly setup

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Auvik?**

It has everything in one place in a secure dashboard I can access from anywhere. Supports almost all my devices and is easy and standardised to setup integration with them, with a variety of options for connectivity and support for multiple LANs.

**What do you dislike about Auvik?**

Can be a bit fiddly to make sure stuff is connected correctly, manual override buttons would be helpful to force a scan on a particular IP address or to update a specific device when stuff isn't working perfectly on the first pass.

I can see it being used in a large business with many many devices, but for a small business like mine it's too expensive for my needs, and could possibly look into different price tiers and functionality for smaller needs.

It feels to me that a windows install is the most prioritised method of installation and is what I eventually went with, as docker and a VM were not reliable enough for me, but this may have just been my particular setup.

**What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having Auvik means that I no longer have to access different devices directly on different networks, and can do it all remotely and securely over the internet rather than other access options like a VPN or proxy.

 ### 38. Auvik is a good option for you if don't have the time or good equipment.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2023

**What do you like best about Auvik?**

Auvik is really simple to set up, took no time at all, as I chose the virtual machine Implementation. No configuration necessary, just throw it into VMware and its up and connected. Difficulty during setup can be a real turn off but one of the main points of this service is the ease of use. As for it's uses, I never had a problem with it auto-configuring my network devices, and once the credentials were in it worked well for device monitoring. All it asked for was a credential and everything was up and running. I like the notification reporting, I know if I ever had an issue it would be the first to let me know through the portal and email. Also the network topology mapping is on par or better than anything else I've personnally worked with.

**What do you dislike about Auvik?**

The convience of the trial is really nice, but looking at the pricing, with my implementation, its just not worth it. If you spend good money on Ubiquiti and comprable equipment, it virtually replaces this product. If you had the time you can set up all the alerts and monitoring for free with enough time spent. If you don't have the time, and you arn't seeing the money going away yourself, I'd use it. Other than that, I'd only imagine looking in here maybe 3-4 times a week or more if I run into issues with the network. With all things considered, its just not worth it for my use case.

**What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Usage measurements, network troubleshooting, hardware alerts, network mapping and planning. All of these things make my life while I manage, upgrade, and maintain my network easier, and some of it is just cool. It's just saving me a lot of time, and future headaches.

 ### 39. Auvik came in and hit a home run!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tony N. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Auvik?**

Auvik was able to scan a network unknown to me and map it out. This helped tremendously with the task of upgrading all network equipment. Talk about a time saver!

**What do you dislike about Auvik?**

The only thing about Auvik that can be frustrating is that it can be difficult to manually assign associations between network elements.

**What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Answers the question, "What's on my network?"

 ### 40. In Depth Network Analysis with Great Product Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lawrence K. | Kiln Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2024

**What do you like best about Auvik?**

Auvik is incredibly helpful for network analysis, troubleshooting and control. Customer support is great from the moment you sign up.

**What do you dislike about Auvik?**

Software has so many features that it can be a lot to navigate at first. Luckily there are tons of support articles to help with the process.

**What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Auvik is helping me put all my different switches, ap's and connected devices into one easy to to use interface.

 ### 41. Auvik does not work with no support

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nathan K. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Auvik?**

Used to be a good product but is not anymore

**What do you dislike about Auvik?**

Support is non existant. None of our Fortigates work anymore and they have been trying to fix it for two months now. Not getting anywhere and alerts are constantly going off with false alarms. 0 value for us now.

**What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating a network topology and centralized alerts

 ### 42. Best network monitor I have ever used

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Auvik?**

It's easy and pretty simple to navigate, has a network map that easily allows me to locate devices and able to go back in time to check alerts, device performance and so much more

**What do you dislike about Auvik?**

Site goes under maintenance pretty frequently and creates a lot of false positive alerts.

**What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allows me to troubleshoot networking issues at client's sites, audit network on sites and remote management of devices.

 ### 43. Great product idea, poor execution and account management

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josh M. | Network Engineer II - Access, Telecommunications, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2023

**What do you like best about Auvik?**

Installing an auvik collector is relatively easy and straight forward. For my use case i installed it on an Ubuntu VM and the bash script provided in the installation instructions really made this very simple.

**What do you dislike about Auvik?**

I initially signed up for Auvik with the promise of earning a Ubiquiti Switch for trying it out. Then discvoered what they consider a billable device is not what I have enough of in my small Network. I learned to actually like Auvik during the trial but not enough to pay for it, and now that my trial is over they have made it impossible to close my account and/or disable alerts. There are also no uninstallation instructions for Linux that I have been able to locate in the documentation.

**What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been looking for a suitable network monitoring and management system for my small network for awhile now and Auvik certainly looked promising at first. I did grow to find the alerts valuable, but now that my trial is over I am unable to change alert settings (disable them since I cannot act on them within the system).

 ### 44. Best Monitoring Tool in Network and Infrastructure industries with network device digram

The interface can be complex. Auvik has a lot of features, and the interface can be complex for some users. It may take some time to learn how to use Auvik effectively.
Not all devices are supported. Auvik does not support all network devices. It is important to check the Auvik compatibility list before you purchase the software.
The performance can be slow for large networks. Auvik can be slow to map and monitor large networks. If you have a large network, you may want to consider a different network management tool.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mitchell W. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 30, 2023

**What do you like best about Auvik?**

Auvik has been great. It's not easy to create intuitive navigation for the density of data that is available, but they do a pretty good job.

**What do you dislike about Auvik?**

For some reason the company pull down and search bothers me. I would like to be able to just click and start typing, or press a hotkey and start typing. The list seems small and jumbled. But, it works just fine. Definitely a non problem, just a preference.

**What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We replaced LogicMonitor with Auvik, and it is much more user friendly. I'm happy our company made the change.

I like how everything is in a single place, having alerts, inventory and being able to manage it all in a single place is the key reason why we use Auvik.

**What do you dislike about Auvik?**

The initial learning curve of Auvik I would say is quite high, it doesnt really help you to find information easily.

**What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having a single application that allows me and my senior networking tech the ability to view and monitor every part of our network in a single place.

 ### 49. Great monitoring platform if you're okay with the cost

**What do you like best about Auvik?**

Auvik gives you great insight to your network, and makes the process of setting up everything very easy. It is also compatible with a very wide range of equipment.

**What do you dislike about Auvik?**

The pricing is a little steep, especially if you're already paying for device licensing from your network vendor. That can result in some redundant features as well.

**What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Auvik is great if you have a mix of different brands of networking equipment but want to be able to aggregate all their data into a single dashboard.

 ### 50. Easy and quick setup, a bit expensive.

Auvik also provides integration with specific devices/software such as pfSense and FortiOS. Overall, it offers a wide range of features and is easy to setup and use.

**What do you dislike about Auvik?**

Quite expensive, pricing is based on the number of billable devices

**What problems is Auvik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Auvik helps me manage all the network devices/systems in one place.
