I mainly use Automox for Windows patching, but it also handles some third-party tasks. What stands out to me is the ease of use and the dead simple UI. Automox is easier to set up and configure compared to Intune Autopatch, and the update schedules are straightforward and less ambiguous. The initial setup was rather easy, which is a big plus. Sometimes even when machines are online overnight and reboot to apply patches, the machine immediately asks for a reboot controlled by Automox to apply updates when a user logs in in the morning. I love how Automox provides a centralized approach to managing our device estate, which immensely enhances our reporting and visibility of device health. The user interface is remarkably intuitive, and its simplicity stands out as a major advantage. Additionally, I highly value the ability to build custom worklets and policies tailored to our specific business needs, offering significant flexibility. Automox's integration with Rapid7 is another substantial benefit that enhances its functionality. The initial setup was very easy, quick, and straightforward, allowing us to be up and running within hours. Furthermore, the shift to Automox from Datto RMM was primarily driven by its cost-effectiveness, advanced functionality, and superior flexibility.
