What do you like best about Autodesk Insight?

What do you dislike about Autodesk Insight?

We cannot compute the cad files in this software and very skilled person is required for this software. If it become more user friendly then it will be help us for low skilled person. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Autodesk Insight solving and how is that benefiting you?

It's results is realistic and for entire life cycle we can calculate the how much heating load and cooling load is required. It's best software for designing of heat and cooling system for a building. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Autodesk Insight?

Autodesk seamlessly connects with the models you have already created in Revit. It is easy to integrate into the work you've already completed. While the end result is still an estimate, it is still valuable to provide clients with if they are looking for a rough guess at the energy usage of their proposed building. What do you dislike about Autodesk Insight?

It doesn't seem realistic to use for smaller projects or projects where the client cannot afford to care about the project's energy efficiency. In that way, it is unnecessary except in million-dollar projects. It also is not very intuitive, as the tools are somewhat confusing and difficult to use. It also is lacking some green building requirement features that would be necessary for energy calculation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Autodesk Insight:

I would make sure you know what you are getting into before purchasing this software, as it is tricky to use and not for everyone. I don't see it used commercially unless your client wants to pay for something like this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Autodesk Insight solving and how is that benefiting you?

Using Autodesk Insight, it is effortless to find out how efficient your building is, whether you're in the schematic phase or your building is fully developed. It helps you figure out what sides of the building would benefit from shading, as well as letting you determine "hot spots" the building has. Insights is a very useful program, and its integration with Revit is a bonus and makes it super easy to pull real-time data and feedback. The program is helpful for clients to understand approximate energy usage to be able to make decisions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
