How much does Autodesk Fusion cost in 2026?

Who is Autodesk Fusion pricing best suited for?

Based on G2 reviews and Autodesk Fusion's pricing structure, the base plan at $680/year is best suited for small businesses, startups, freelancers, and individual engineers in industries like mechanical engineering, electrical manufacturing, and product design who need integrated CAD, CAM, and simulation without enterprise budgets. G2 reviewers from mid-market companies in industrial automation, construction, and automotive also find strong value here. The Autodesk Fusion Manufacturing Extension and Autodesk Fusion for Manufacturing tiers at $1,465 to $2,040/year are better suited for professional machine shops and manufacturers requiring 5-axis CNC, nesting, and advanced automation. Students and hobbyists are well served by the free tier for non-commercial use.

What are the key differences between the free and paid versions of Autodesk Fusion?

Autodesk Fusion offers a free tier for hobbyists and students, but G2 reviewers consistently note it imposes significant limitations. According to G2 users, the free version restricts access to advanced CAM features like 4- and 5-axis machining, simulation capabilities, generative design, extended collaboration, and commercial use. The paid Autodesk Fusion plan at $680/year unlocks professional-grade tools across design, CAM, and PCB workflows. Higher tiers like Autodesk Fusion for Manufacturing at $2,040/year add simultaneous multi-axis CNC machining and automation tools, while the Manufacturing Extension at $1,465/year enables advanced additive manufacturing. G2 reviewers note the free version suits hobbyists but falls short for professional or commercial applications.

Is Autodesk Fusion considered good value for its pricing?

G2 reviewers overwhelmingly describe Autodesk Fusion as exceptional value, frequently comparing it favorably to SolidWorks and Inventor at a fraction of the cost. Small business and mid-market users on G2 highlight that the base plan at $680/year delivers integrated CAD, CAM, CAE, and PCB design that would otherwise require multiple expensive tools. Reviewers in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, and electronics manufacturing consistently praise the price-to-feature ratio. However, G2 users also note that advanced capabilities like 5-axis machining require the Manufacturing Extension at $1,465/year, which some small businesses and hobbyists find prohibitive. Students and individual users on G2 flag the subscription-only model and lack of perpetual licensing as ongoing concerns.

What do you like best about Autodesk Fusion?

I like that Autodesk Fusion is very easy to use, especially for an automation engineer. It's comparable to SolidWorks, allowing easy addition of camshaft parameters and other measurements. I find it straightforward to put measurements for 3D modeling and writing, or to change materials. It works fine even with a four-core CPU, which is something I think is missing in other software. I also appreciate how Autodesk Fusion is a complete package containing everything needed, including technical, documentation, and 3D CAD. It's really amazing and more structured than Salesforce. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Autodesk Fusion?

I think there's a lot of updates on time, but I understand it's a kind of big software. But I think it will be better to get maybe one complete upgrade at the end of maybe the year or maybe every four months than get all the time you upgrade. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Autodesk Fusion solving and how is that benefiting you?

I find Autodesk Fusion complements my work by integrating documentation and design, simplifying complex tasks. It's a complete package that contains technical tools and documentation, making it easier for me as an automation engineer to handle 3D modeling and material changes efficiently. "Pros & cons for autodesk fursion"

What do you like best about Autodesk Fusion?

1. All-in-one platform is its biggest strength. It combines CAD, CAM, CAE, and PCB design in a single cloud-based environment, which makes it incredibly convenient for product

2. Plus, having built-in PCB design and 3D modeling in one place is a massive time-saver. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Autodesk Fusion?

1. The app for macos which I use I find that it is really buggy I have had multiple hanging and software bugs

2. Unlike tools like onshape you can't easily changes the value of the extrusion (can edit it afterwards) for example from 5mm to 10mm

3. Really like the Web Version but... The problem arises as something online view bugs out + no matter how many times you refresh the page it stay the same (so you need to wait i thing 4 hours to be assign a new remote access to a different serve)

4. Glitchs causing the web version of the app to be smaller in size to the browser screen

5. Real time editing is non existent Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Autodesk Fusion solving and how is that benefiting you?

I have been a new user about 1 year but I have seen multiple updates but none of which are significant Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
