Fusion 360 works similar to Solidworks, but the subscription based model means you have access to all the latest features and fixes. As a hardware engineer, I also appreciate the integration with Autodesk Eagle to modify circuit board dimensions and move components, and get the updates in Fusion 360 almost immediately.
