1. The app for macos which I use I find that it is really buggy I have had multiple hanging and software bugs
2. Unlike tools like onshape you can't easily changes the value of the extrusion (can edit it afterwards) for example from 5mm to 10mm
3. Really like the Web Version but... The problem arises as something online view bugs out + no matter how many times you refresh the page it stay the same (so you need to wait i thing 4 hours to be assign a new remote access to a different serve)
4. Glitchs causing the web version of the app to be smaller in size to the browser screen
5. Real time editing is non existent

**What problems is Autodesk Fusion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been a new user about 1 year but I have seen multiple updates but none of which are significant

  ### 11. Simple and Easy to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Autodesk Fusion?**

I really like this product, because unlike other CAD, modeling software out there which lacks instructional videos, I seem to find an abundance of instructional videos that support the software. The software also has a lot of tricks that you can use to cut down on your modeling time significantly. You no longer have to be a CAD expert to be able to quickly create models that you can use in your professional or personal I really like this product, because unlike other CAD, modeling software out there which lacks instructional videos, I seem to find an abundance of instructional videos that support the software. The software also has a lot of tricks that you can use to cut down on your modeling time significantly. You no longer have to be a CAD expert to be able to quickly create models that you can use accomplish builds both professionally and personally.

**What do you dislike about Autodesk Fusion?**

Sometimes this software can be difficult to use on a laptop so I would recommend with using it that you have a large screen or monitor and a sensitive mouse.

**What problems is Autodesk Fusion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've mostly used this for personal projects where I need to design something virtually before actually building it.

  ### 12. Autodesk Fusion has enabled me to complete more 3D printing projects than any other software

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Autodesk Fusion?**

Autodesk Fusion allows the user to work with both meshes from imported .stl files and solids from custom designs within the same file which makes it easy to integrate into my work and I find myself using it frequently to start and complete projects. The program also allows you to switch between both formats, with the ability to easily convert a mesh into a solid to make custom modifications with tools I am familiar with from other CAD software which makes it easy to implement in my design workflow.

**What do you dislike about Autodesk Fusion?**

The timeline of operations that Autodesk Fusion uses makes it more difficult to make adjustments to early design decisions. Unlike CATIA where a specific extrude, chamfer, or other modification is listed underneath the specific object in the object tree, in Autodesk Fusion, all modifications to all objects are listed in the same timeline and it makes it difficult to locate the exact feature I want to tweak. Also, when you duplicate an object to create a different design revision in the same file, I find that the timeline resets and you cannot make edits to features on the object from before you copied it.

**What problems is Autodesk Fusion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Autodesk Fusion allows me to design replacements for broken plastic components, create custom mounting solutions, and design products to improve quality of life.

  ### 13. 3D modling tasks in Piping Engineering and drafting for some customers

I have used this software in 3D for 9 mounths in 3 projects and it was very helpful and integrated easily in our Project workflow.
The implementation was very easy and we have received very helpful guidelines from the Autodesk Support team

**What do you dislike about Autodesk Fusion?**

When using this software i have struggled to find any method to extract construction drawings from 3d model

**What problems is Autodesk Fusion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Autodesk Fusion helped our company to make the team collaboration more easier in data exchange and in simplified workflow for mechanical simulation

  ### 14. Good 3D CAD for the price

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Justin B. | Mechanical Project Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Autodesk Fusion?**

I like using fusion as a good 3D CAD program for making part or simple assembly designs. The layout and fuctions seemed mostly familiar and the small differences from other CAD software I had used were relatively easy to get used to. Fusion also seems to be designed with collaboration in mind, so working together on designs would be easier (I have not personally used this much, but I could see it being useful).
One of the biggest advantages of Fusion is the price. I had a hard time convincing my management to pay for 3D CAD due to the price, but Fusion was easier to justify (something in the range of 10% the cost of Inventor/Solidworks)

**What do you dislike about Autodesk Fusion?**

I have run into issues when trying to create assemblies with several components and mates/joints. Sometimes adding a joint will unexpectedly lock up the entire assembly, and troubleshooting/adding the joint that I am trying to is not as intuitive as something like Solidworks or Inventor in my experience.
I did have one time where I lost all my progress after working on a design all day (I should have saved periodically, but I didn't). I believe there was an issue with an external reference in the design. After spending an hour or so trying to get the design to save or get the autorecovery files to load, I gave up and just redid my work the next day. Only had this happen once though.
Converting 3D designs to 2D drawings doesn't have as many features/options as I would like either. If it's something more than a quick sketch up, I'll usually export a .dwg file into AutoCAD and make my 2D drawing from there.

**What problems is Autodesk Fusion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to create designs and show/visualize features in 3D makes designing new parts easier.

  ### 15. Fusion - pretty good 3d CAD and more

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Will J. | Chief Executive Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Autodesk Fusion?**

It's quick and simple to produce parametric models in fusion. There's a lot of functionality in the product, and it can be very flexible when models are built correctly. I use it frequently with parametric driven models for diy projects and for injection mouldings for work

**What do you dislike about Autodesk Fusion?**

sadly autodesk is now really ramping up the price and spinning out features as separate paid plug-ins. this is a shame for smaller organisations and hobby makers.

**What problems is Autodesk Fusion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allows me to build 3D models of components for injection moulded parts without engaging an expensive sub contrating engineering company.

  ### 16. Review on equipment as an engineer. I review these models for sizing and connection purposes.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John L. | Electrical Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Autodesk Fusion?**

It is a somewhat easily to learn interface. Like all Autodesk softwares, there are similaries between them all that make it quick and easy to learn. The toolbar at the top of the screen is the only way I can foresee tasks getting done, and Fusion having it makes it easier than other 3D modeling software to learn. Rotating and viewing models is easy to do with the mouse and keyboard.

**What do you dislike about Autodesk Fusion?**

The sheer size of not only the program but also the model making the computer chung along sometimes.

**What problems is Autodesk Fusion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not so much a problem but it does allow ease of access into a 3D modelling space. When needing precise details regarding an item, it can be helpful to open the model directly and investigate it. Fusion is simple enough to do this.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 28, 2022

**What do you like best about Autodesk Fusion?**

The compatibility with 5-axis machining and advanced tool axis control like no other. I used to run sprutcam previously and the switch to this extension made life so much easier for multi-axis CNC machining.

**What do you dislike about Autodesk Fusion?**

The pricing is definitely on the higher side unless the utility overly justifies the same. The trial is available for a very limited time of 14 days. Makes it uneconomical for users with only limited or specific feature requirements.

**What problems is Autodesk Fusion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As mentioned before, 5-axis simultaneous milling was made possible only with this machining extension. Update on toolpath modification allowing it without the need for entire recalculation of path came in handy.
