"Great tool that delivers what it promises."
4.5/5
What do you like best about Autodesk Fusion Manage?

Upchaim is incredible since never has the innovation of a product been so easy, since the arrival of availability of this cloud-based software with ample storage guaranteeing complete operation, mentioning that it constantly reduces production errors, being a A great alternative for most companies, I love this software, essentially because of its objectives to run as software with a plm solution, without excluding that it is not necessary to download the application, which is my favorite aspect in relation to the system. What do you dislike about Autodesk Fusion Manage?

Exclusively to the entire system issue, we can mention that it does not have a mobile application, it would be incredible if it had access to this availability, since it greatly facilitates its functionality, since in the web version it is something difficult to promote , considering that it has a low performance when referring to work, emphasizing that its user interface is somewhat dry according to the illustrations it has, it lacks color, in order to have the possibility of calling more users. "Incredible upchain for design and storage."
4/5
What do you like best about Autodesk Fusion Manage?

Upchain , I love it because it allows me to keep all the information stored in the cloud in a layer system where the information is encrypted, to be later used in sending or sharing specific information, however this offers us other tools and collaborates with us in The design processes for the marketing and advertising campaigns in this offer us a tool to create a filter and thus be able to find errors or find positive things to be able to spread it to the clients, we are happy because it has been handled very well and not showed no problems with clients from the campaigns already sent, in summary useful and easy system. What do you dislike about Autodesk Fusion Manage?

I have a main problem and that is that their server support or their status in the cloud is in problems because it is cumbersome to enter the system and download the program in circumstances it is difficult are optimization problems that can affect being effective. What do you like best about Autodesk Fusion Manage?

1. UpChain provided a great opportunity that for the whole team (not only inside the company, also combined with external vendors and clients) to be able to work on the same platform, from pre-prject til the end of R&D process.

2. UpChain create a bridge to link CAD users (MD, ID, ED) and non-CAD users together, so we don't need to rely on a installed CAD software for everyone. Everyone can check the CAD file easily.

3. The issue ticket system is amazing. Once a issue is found, now we can quickly create a ticket and assign it to the people who will take charge of fix it. It also create a link that everybody will know who gona take the responsibility and who gona review and approve it.

4. Compare to Solidworks EPDM, Upchain doesn't require a server setup. So everybody can access it from anywhere. Doesn't need a VPN. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Autodesk Fusion Manage?

1. Upchain has a plugin for Solidworks. As a CAD worker, I would like keep all features in the plugin, so I don't need switch to browser to make some operation. But in current Solidworks plugin version, some features are still only available in browser.

2. CAD file version management for Solidworks plugin still need more work to make it more practical to check/compare different versions.

3. In the support section, most of the Q&A are based on browser version. Hope we can have more Q&A focus on CAD software users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The training sessions were good."
3.5/5
What do you like best about Autodesk Fusion Manage?

I liked all of the trainers' willingness to answer questions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Autodesk Fusion Manage?

I found it unnecessary to talk about what the trainers were going to talk about... this could have saved 10-15mins per session which would have avoided the need to rush through the content right at the end.

The software overall seems like a good tool, but there do seem to be a few annoying bugs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Upchain Tenant Administrator User Review"
5/5
What do you like best about Autodesk Fusion Manage?

Cross platform compatibility. Not limited to using one software within an organisation. Easy to share and view CAD data without the need to have a CAD package installed on your machine. Good customer support, and very quick response times on issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Autodesk Fusion Manage?

Its not easy to understand until training is complete. Some naming and layouts are not logical and take some getting used to. The integration process requires a lot of time and planning. Metadata importing from existing sources could be made more user friendly. Mapping metadata from a database proved more difficult than expected (very specific data formatting required for Upchain's plugin to read the data properly. Part numbering rules limited in term of the format and delimiter types. On some new releases the layout changes and throws the user off. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent Tool for managing our product"
5/5
What do you like best about Autodesk Fusion Manage?

I like that it combines all the documents needed in one place. It is easy to view everything at a one stop location. I also like that it is Cloud based and can be accessed by multiple users at the same time. This is really beneficial especially that we have couple team members in different remote locations, and can't have access to the local server. I also like the user friendliness of the file. It is not too complicated, not so many buttons are present that could mess things up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Autodesk Fusion Manage?

It can include more things and more capabilities. I think some points to improve is having the ability to manage more documents such as FMEA & APQP as well as work instructions documents. This would be super beneficial! One thing I dislike, is the duplication of some documents. I wish there is a feature to lock things and control them better. This would be super beneficial from a document control perspective. We wouldn't want two documents to be copied twice and worked on twice. I also suggest having approvals of parts or drawings so it can be controled more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Autodesk Fusion Manage?

It is one of the only cloud based PDM/PLM solutions available at a reasonable cost. Other software only offers PLM, no CAD storage and a significant set-up fee. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Autodesk Fusion Manage?

Need some more BOM functions such as being able to re-arrange the position of a part within the BOM. We also need to figure out how to integrate with our apparel design team who uses a lot of 2D and Adobe software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Whole Different Approach to PLM"
5/5
What do you like best about Autodesk Fusion Manage?

Upchain is clearly focused on simplifying complex PLM processes. Recently, we conducting a review of several major PLM platforms, and Upchain was the only one that our users were excited about. They were able to pick up on the platform with very little training, and felt like it would allow them to do their day-to-day job better.

The Solidworks integration for Upchain is a differentiator. They've done a really good job bringing the major capabilities of the system into the plugin, and it does a really good job blurring the lines between "PLM Data" to "CAD Data".

From an IT perspective, their Cloud approach makes it much easier to quickly get started with the platform. Their "Partner Enablement" team (Upchain terms for sales & support) has also been helpful in getting us on-boarded and trained. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Autodesk Fusion Manage?

Upchain does not have all of the functionality of a traditional, major PLM. This has been changing pretty rapidly, and they've been very receptive to our feedback in terms of priority. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Upchain provides CAD Data management"
3/5
What do you like best about Autodesk Fusion Manage?

Upchain has greatly improved our CAD handling. Our previous process involved a google drive folder. The ability to lock parts, revision control parts, and associate drawings/analysis/manufacturing files with a part in a way more elegant than a file tree has proven its use time and again.

The cloud based system was very easy to stand up for a small team without dedicated information technology personnel. It supported our team members both locally and at remote sites.

All other pain points aside, it's a powerful tool for ensuring everyone is working on the same models and isn't loosing work due to conflicts or disorganization.

The online view and measurement tool is powerful, useful, and awesome capability. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Autodesk Fusion Manage?

Upchain has several rough edges still. Their provided tutorials are often outdated by the time you see them, and it is frustrating for the program to behave differently than expected. Upchain does not support some of our processes well (such as tying free-text to configurations in Solidworks) . It is also frustrating that not all functionality is available in all places, for example, moving a part back to development has to happen in the CAD plugin rather than on the web interface. It's occasionally frustrating as you need to be in certain views (Project vs cBoM, etc) to do certain activities.

Doing in-house integrations with Upchain is proving difficult with limited documentation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Different approach to a PDM sytem that is well integrated and intuitive to adapt to."
5/5
What do you like best about Autodesk Fusion Manage?

Plug in for Solidworks is well integrated and simple enough to pick up and use for day to day tasks

The development/support team are good to work with, very responsive and helpful. The majority of issues and feature requests we come across are already in the pipeline to be fixed in upcoming releases. Updates happen frequently and are quick and simple to carry out.

Online Upchain academy is good for getting an overview of all parts of the system. I liked the format of the the live "Connect the Chain" video training, with each short session dedicated to a single topic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Autodesk Fusion Manage?

Some extra features would be useful to aid day to day useability, things like a collapse all option for the tree or clearer visualisation of the different levels of the BOM

Migration process seemed to be very manual with the potential to miss files that are not in the top level assemblies. Some significant issues were encountered with the hybrid vault solution (Upchain interface with the data on a local server), but due to be fixed in upcoming releases.
