The catalog of items is most of the times very accurate. Also the cost of labour can be included based on the skills of labour. Also its inter operability with Revit fabrication is very good. You no need to model everything inside fabrication EST mep. If you have your 3D model in Revit MEP fabrication, then you can bring in that model in Fabrication EST mep and do further processing. Not only Revit you can also import your 3D model from AutoCAD MEP. **What do you dislike about AutoDesk Fabrication ESTmep?** There is very less or no inter operability between other than autodesk softwares for example aecosim or microstation. But in such cases we can use the IFC format with some modifications or work-arounds. **Recommendations to others considering AutoDesk Fabrication ESTmep:** I wolud recommend to use this software. **What problems is AutoDesk Fabrication ESTmep solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am solving the problem of cost estimations for MEP disciplines that results in getting tenders passed for the MEP contractors. ### 4. Apart from quick setting changes, you can use multi-view to make your drawing more efficient. Simulation and Clash Deductions are easy in fabrication. **What do you dislike about AutoDesk Fabrication ESTmep?** You need a good pc to run this and Autodesk needs to work on this so as it can be easily accessible to everyone. **What problems is AutoDesk Fabrication ESTmep solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am Bim Engineer. I mostly handle Airport Projects so for me drawing HVAC in fabrication is a lot easier than Revit plus it looks more realistic ### 6. I especially find the price per lb useful to calculate material costs for granite work for buildings. Helpful that it can calculate cubic feet and meters to help determine weight as well as cost for granite material. Works especially well with other autocad programs because you can import and export with ease. **What do you dislike about AutoDesk Fabrication ESTmep?** It does take a learning curve you will spend lots of time working out each function and figuring out all the program has to offer. I ended up using some third party resources to learn how to use the program. **Recommendations to others considering AutoDesk Fabrication ESTmep:** I would recommend using their customer support to understand the program if you have any questions. **What problems is AutoDesk Fabrication ESTmep solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am able to recreate products and buildings and calculate the area, weight and amount of materials used quickly and I am also able to generate different quotes by inputting different suppliers and their pricing. It automatically calculates the area and weights and price for each type of granite. ### 11.
