The autodesk 3ds max is a best software to design drawings related to engineering works in 2d and 3d. Easy to create designs and make edits to the previous designs as compared to other softwares. Crazy expensive, Overall speed, amount of crashes, outdated special effects plugins, sluggish UI with large scenes Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Autodesk 3ds Max solving and how is that benefiting you?

I am doing all kinds of 3d visualizations mostly product and architecture. For that purpose, 3ds max does just fine but whenever you need something more like special effects, cloth simulations, particles etc., you always end up better with external plugins. The most helpful feature in Autodesk 3ds Max is its capability of studying the real effects of the sun and lights over the specified architectural model and their impact on its different parts and sections. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I sometimes wished if the manipulation and handling of its different commands and tools were less complicated than they are right now, but if I look closer I will understand the real need of being like so... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Autodesk 3ds Max solving and how is that benefiting you?

First of all, the major problems being solved by Autodesk 3ds Max are the communication and the way to do so with our clients; in fact, some clients find it hard to visualize the volumes in general and how they interfere with each other. It is rendering of 3d model and animating constructing 3d model for representing to the clinet.

User-friendly tools for animating the 3d model.

Excellent import and exporting function for a given stream of file formats Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Autodesk 3ds Max?

Huge hardware requirements and giant graphic cards are needed. It's a little bit costly for medium-scale industries to invest.

Training is required for a fresher experienced professional to adopt tool techniques.
