As a mechanical engineering student, I find AutoCAD software to be a straightforward tool that assists me with my projects. It enables me to create both 2D and 3D technical drawings, and it also allows me to convert 3D models into 2D engineering drawings, which I can then print on paper. AutoCAD is easy to use and provides precise dimensioning for my drawings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
In my experience so far, AutoCAD has been performing well and I haven't noticed any major shortcomings. It consistently delivers reliable results. However, I do find that working on 3D mechanical designs can sometimes be time-consuming, especially since many commands have to be entered manually, which can slow down the workflow. Additionally, I’ve noticed that it lacks advanced simulation and parametric features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
