**What do you like best about AutoCAD?**

I like AutoCAD's infinite space where I can draw anything, which is great for creating detailed design and plan layouts of buildings. It makes it easy to explain detailed plans since I am a civil engineer. I also appreciate the many features and shortcuts that make it easy to draw any plan, like building foundations, beams, columns, and elevations. I've been using this software for more than two years, and I can't think of my life without it. It's the only source of income for me, which shows how reliant and integrated it is in my work. The initial setup of AutoCAD was easy for me, indicating its user-friendly nature. Till now, I'd give AutoCAD a 10 out of 10.

**What do you dislike about AutoCAD?**

I find AutoCAD's 3D visualization a little bit complex and difficult to use. It's also a bit time-consuming and hard for me to draw any complex type of structure.

**What problems is AutoCAD solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find AutoCAD makes it easy to draw any plan, like building foundations and elevations, with infinite space and many features. It's crucial for creating detailed designs and explaining plans in my civil engineering work.

**What do you like best about AutoCAD?**

AutoCAD is an excellent tool for designing machines and is especially helpful for engineering students. I appreciate AutoCAD mainly for its precision and professional standards. It enables me to create highly accurate drawings with exact dimensions, which deepens my understanding of how real-world designs are developed. I also value the fact that AutoCAD is widely used in the industry, making the time I spend learning it feel like a worthwhile investment for my future career. Additionally, features like layers, blocks, and shortcuts make drafting much faster once I become familiar with them.

**What do you dislike about AutoCAD?**

One aspect I find challenging about AutoCAD is its steep learning curve, especially for beginners. In the beginning, trying to remember all the commands and shortcuts can be quite confusing. The software also tends to use a lot of system resources, which means it can lag on computers with lower specifications. On top of that, even minor errors, such as selecting the wrong units or layers, can impact the whole drawing. As an intern, this can be particularly frustrating.

**What problems is AutoCAD solving and how is that benefiting you?**

AutoCAD addresses the challenges of manual drafting, such as errors and inefficiency, by offering a precise, digital, and easily editable drafting environment. It makes modifying and reusing designs much simpler, and its documentation capabilities surpass those of traditional hand drawings. I like that AutoCAD has a lot of features and shortcuts, making it easy and fast to generate drawings. It's also very efficient for creating designs quickly. The initial setup was very easy, and I appreciate how it helps me generate preliminary layout designs and create SLDs. It's easy to get things done in a short time with AutoCAD.

When I import layers from Google Earth, I need to use AutoCAD Civil; I can't just use AutoCAD. It would be nice to have AutoCAD also have that feature. Maybe add a feature for 'import' and 'export' to AutoCAD.

Object snaps ensure accurate endpoints, midpoints, and intersections, which eliminates guesswork and prevents errors. AutoCAD can be improved in a few areas: it has a steep learning curve for beginners, can feel slow when working with large files, and its subscription cost is quite high. Some 3D features also feel less intuitive compared to modern 3D modeling software. AutoCAD’s 3D tools feel less intuitive because navigation, solid editing, and surface modeling require many separate commands and don’t flow as smoothly as modern parametric systems. Tools like PressPull, UCS management, and Boolean operations can feel cumbersome.

I use AutoCAD for creating 3-D designs and work-related projects. I appreciate the easy-to-use interface and the many tools and options it offers for designing. It efficiently creates models which we can study and design without needing physical prototypes. I also enjoy creating 3D designs and the shapes of the design. The installation and setup were easy, which I found really convenient.

I want the cost of the software to be less or free.

**What do you like best about AutoCAD?**

I have been using AutoCAD for only two months now, and so far, I am particularly impressed with the import feature and the direct input method feature. The import feature is especially beneficial as it allows me to use other works, tweak some settings, and use it for myself. This is crucial when there is very little time to create a design, and it's quite challenging if I don't know the basics. These features have significantly eased my learning process and project creation experience. Furthermore, the initial setup was hassle-free, as AutoCAD was already installed on my college lab computer, and for my personal PC, it was straightforward. Installing the software required minimal effort, as everything was handled by the system, making my start with AutoCAD smooth and efficient.

I face compatibility issues with AutoCAD. In my college, the computers have varying specifications, such as Intel i3 and dual-core processors. This inconsistency in hardware creates a high demand on the system to run AutoCAD efficiently. Despite some computers having 1TB of storage, AutoCAD struggles to perform, running as if it's on its last legs. This makes it difficult to work effectively, and I experience frequent performance issues with the software.

I use AutoCAD for designing as a Mechanical Engineer, Inhace a certification as well ,and I find it best and easy to use, especially for newcomers. The user interface is simple and straightforward, making it the most enjoyable part of using AutoCAD. It's very easy to use for designing mechanical products, and the setup was the easiest. I'm always ready to recommend it to others and would rate it a 10 out of 10.

As I have used other CAD too like zcad but the best think about autocad is ease of doing work, integration with other autodesk softwares and trust of autocad, plus it is most widely used software hence we do not need to learn other shortcuts for other softwares

Sometimes it just crashes, suddenly and after too many efforts we get our files back. Just a suggestion they have done with revit why can't autocad saves more than 1 backup file. Or like revit do creat 5 backup files and delete the previous ones that should be better for autocad too.

As an architect autocad is solving one of the greatest problem in drafting drawings on software instead of hardware, drafting on sheets take way to long but because of autocad now it's easy, reliable, portable, communicable and transparent.
