Another is MULTILINE command is missing in autocad lite, and all its related commands like MULTILINE edit, MULTILINE style all are missing. **Recommendations to others considering AutoCAD LT:** Best software for entry level civil engineering students and those who have low spec PCs or laptops. **What problems is AutoCAD LT solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's basically a lite version of auto CAD so it's space saving and highly compatible for low end PCs of students. The fact that you still have to select a version year when saving a .CAD file to ensure others can open it if they are using a different version is kind of rediculous and if you're converting file types AutoDesk requires too many in between import/export programs to get similar files into the format required. **Recommendations to others considering AutoCAD LT:** If you need 3D modeling support then AutoCAD is probably a good option but there are alternatives such as NanoCAD that offer similar features and is much more affordable. **What problems is AutoCAD LT solving and how is that benefiting you?** Electrical drawings and layouts. I've recently become hooked on Sheet Sets which allow a convenient way of linking and organizing multiple files and pages to one project. **What do you dislike about AutoCAD LT?** If I were to name anything, which I'm ahead hesitant because I've never had many complaints about AutoCAD to begin with, I'd say the crash reports. There are times when I know I'm overloading the file with references which occasionally causes the program to crash. While I'm sure the the crash reports get added to a data base that can be compiled and analyzed for eventual upgrades, I'm not sure if it helps me in the scenario. As in, sending a crash report doesn't explain why the program crashed or what I can do to avoid it. For the most part, I know these answers so this really isn't a major concern for me. **What problems is AutoCAD LT solving and how is that benefiting you?** Visualization is vital in our company. The drawings we create get shared across many desks including engineers, planning and zoning boards as well as clients - all of whom need to be able to understand and read the drawing without much question. This software is great for our users that do not need plugins or the additional libraries and features that AutoCAD or AutoCAD MEP offer. Our renewables team is straight drafting so they do not use additional features which has worked well for them, and our senior engineers mainly use AutoCAD to review drawings. **What do you dislike about AutoCAD LT?** Better integration of external software programs such as Excel would be handy. Our equipment schedules are written in Excel and sometimes our senior designers and engineers need to update the schedules in Excel. To update it in AutoCAD they then need to ask another designer with the full software to use XL2CAD to import the table.
