The platform is designed for teams that need to investigate online sources while separating analyst identity, organizational attribution, and endpoint systems from the activity being performed. Silo Workspace is used by cyber threat intelligence, SOC and incident response, OSINT, fraud, brand protection, financial crime, corporate security, trust and safety, and law enforcement teams. It provides a multi-application investigation workspace that includes the Silo for Research browser, communication tools, productivity applications, and managed attribution. Users can access the surface web, deep web, and dark web while routing activity through managed egress nodes and configurable geographic, network, and device attributes. Finally worry free web searching **Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Shubham G. | SDE, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** September 11, 2025 **What do you like best about Silo Workspace?** What I loved most about it at my old job was how it let me browse anywhere on the web without being scared I would accidentally click on a bad link. It was like all my internet searching happened in a super safe magic bubble that was not even on my real computer. So if I visited a weird website, none of the spooky stuff could get to me. It just made my work so much less stressful because I did not have to worry about breaking my computer or getting a virus. Every time I started it up it was like a fresh, clean computer which was awesome for my peace of mind. **What do you dislike about Silo Workspace?** Honestly, there was not a lot to dislike but if I had to pick something, it was that it could feel a little slow sometimes. Every once in a while it felt like the mouse was moving through jello for a second, especially if my internet connection was not perfect. Also, copying and pasting things from my real computer into the Silo browser was a little clunky and you had to use a special little window to do it instead of just the normal keyboard shortcut. It really was not a big deal though. You got used to it, and it was totally worth it for how safe it kept everything. **What problems is Silo Workspace solving and how is that benefiting you?** It basically got rid of all the scary parts of searching the web for my job. The biggest problem it solved for me was that constant worry in the back of my mind. Before using it I was always nervous that I would click on a bad link and BAM, my computer would get a virus. It was a huge headache. Once I started using Silo I just did not even have to think about it. I could click on any link I needed for my research and know that I was completely safe. The benefit was a huge feeling of relief and confidence. It also solved the problem of being tracked online. For my work, I sometimes needed to be a bit of a ghost and not have websites know where I was coming from. Silo let me do that perfectly. ### 2. It made online research safer, reduced risks of malware or tracking, and the interface was simple and easy to use for non-technical users. **What do you dislike about Silo Workspace?** The main downside was that performance could sometimes feel slower compared to a regular browser, especially when loading media-heavy sites. Also, since it’s a specialized tool, there was a bit of a learning curve for new users to get comfortable with it. **What problems is Silo Workspace solving and how is that benefiting you?** Authentic8 Silo for Research helped protect our analysts from web-based threats by fully isolating browsing activity from the local system.
