August is an award-winning property management platform built specifically for residential landlords in the UK. It exists because most landlord software either assumes you are an expert or treats tax and compliance as an afterthought, leaving landlords to reconcile rent in a spreadsheet and hope they have the right certificates on file. August is for accidental landlords, BTL landlords, HMO landlords, portfolio landlords, overseas landlords, tenants, property managers and small estate agencies. Rent tracking runs on open banking. You connect the account your rent is paid into and August matches incoming payments against your tenancies automatically, including historic transactions, so arrears and payment history are visible without manual reconciliation. August provides this as a regulated agent of Plaid Financial Ltd, which is authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority. Making Tax Digital for Income Tax is handled natively. August is recognised by HMRC for MTD for Income Tax, so income and expenses captured through the year feed directly into quarterly submissions rather than needing to be reassembled at the deadline. August also has a integration with Xero. Compliance and document management cover the certificates, notices and records the Renters' Rights Act 2025 and existing legislation require you to hold, with automated reminders before things expire. August Intelligence is the AI layer running across the platform, answering questions about your portfolio and your obligations using your own data.
