## Augment Code Reviews
  ### 1. Understands the Whole Codebase—Indexes Everything Like a Teammate

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chetan S. | App Consultant, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Augment Code?**

What I like best is that it actually understands my whole codebase, not just the open file. It indexes everything — code, docs, history — so when I change one thing, it flags every related spot: constructors, queries, endpoints, tests. Same context follows across IDE, CLI, and GitHub reviews. Feels like a teammate, not autocomplete.

**What do you dislike about Augment Code?**

Biggest gripe: it sometimes gets overambitious and changes more than I asked for — redesigning a component when I just wanted one fix, so I have to double-check diffs carefully. Intent (the desktop workspace) is Mac-only for now, no Windows/Linux. Pricing climbs fast with heavy usage, and agentic workflows can feel slow on bigger, multi-step tasks.

**What problems is Augment Code solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the "AI only sees one file" problem. Indexing my whole repo means suggestions and reviews account for real dependencies, catching bugs I'd otherwise miss downstream. Same context follows across IDE, CLI, and GitHub. Benefit: less time tracing what a change affects, more confidence reviews catch real issues, not just style nitpicks.

  ### 2. My Go-To Tool for Smarter Coding

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Augment Code?**

What I like best about Augment Code is how seamlessly it fits into my day-to-day workflow. I rely on it heavily for agentic coding, and it consistently feels like a smart, proactive partner rather than just another coding tool. Its ability to connect with different AI models is a huge plus - it gives me flexibility depending on the task, and I can switch between models without disrupting my flow. Overall, it makes complex coding tasks feel quicker and more intuitive, which has really boosted my productivity.

**What do you dislike about Augment Code?**

There isn’t much I dislike, but there are a few areas where Augment Code could improve. Occasionally, the agentic workflows feel a bit slower than expected, especially on larger tasks. Also, while the model-switching feature is great, I wish the UI made it a little easier to compare model capabilities side by side. These aren’t dealbreakers, but smoothing them out would make the overall experience even better.

**What problems is Augment Code solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Augment Code helps streamline a lot of the repetitive or time-consuming parts of my development process. With its agentic coding capabilities, it can break down tasks, generate boilerplate, explore solutions, and even refactor code without me having to micromanage every step. This saves me a lot of mental overhead and lets me focus on higher-level design decisions. The option to use different AI models is also a big advantage, since I can choose the one that fits the task best - whether I need speed, creativity, or deep reasoning. Overall, it reduces friction in my workflow and makes me noticeably more productive day to day.
