## Augment Code Reviews
  ### 1. Fast, Intelligent Coding Help with Smooth IDE Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sushant S. | Senior Software Developer, Computer Software, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Augment Code?**

The best thing about Augment Code is that it is very fast in providing responses/assistance. It integrates easily with several IDEs with a very smooth and simple onboarding process. Its highly intelligent AI engine can understand complex codebases within no time and provides reliable responses to queries which requires less refinement further. Overall, it accelerates coding, debugging and code review across the entire development process.

**What do you dislike about Augment Code?**

Augment Code only supports Git integration with GitHub. For other Git hosts, we have to rely on workarounds, which isn’t efficient at all. On top of that, I’m not a fan of the billing model, since it doesn’t make it easy to forecast budgets.

**What problems is Augment Code solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Augment Code has helped me and my team streamline our coding practices. It supports multi-file edits by understanding the context and relevance across multiple files while we work on a task. It also acts as a knowledge base backed by our git repositories, which makes it easier to understand the codebase and write new code in line with the defined coding standards.

  ### 2. Understands the Whole Codebase—Indexes Everything Like a Teammate

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chetan S. | App Consultant, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Augment Code?**

What I like best is that it actually understands my whole codebase, not just the open file. It indexes everything — code, docs, history — so when I change one thing, it flags every related spot: constructors, queries, endpoints, tests. Same context follows across IDE, CLI, and GitHub reviews. Feels like a teammate, not autocomplete.

**What do you dislike about Augment Code?**

Biggest gripe: it sometimes gets overambitious and changes more than I asked for — redesigning a component when I just wanted one fix, so I have to double-check diffs carefully. Intent (the desktop workspace) is Mac-only for now, no Windows/Linux. Pricing climbs fast with heavy usage, and agentic workflows can feel slow on bigger, multi-step tasks.

**What problems is Augment Code solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the "AI only sees one file" problem. Indexing my whole repo means suggestions and reviews account for real dependencies, catching bugs I'd otherwise miss downstream. Same context follows across IDE, CLI, and GitHub. Benefit: less time tracing what a change affects, more confidence reviews catch real issues, not just style nitpicks.

  ### 3. A Strong Copilot Alternative: Great Context-Aware Code Suggestions in VS Code

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daksh B. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Augment Code?**

Since I come from a software engineering background, I first came across it when GitHub Copilot restructured their plans. It felt like a great alternative. I initially set it up just to try the free credits, and it turned out to be totally worth it. It’s really good at reading context, giving code suggestions, and helping with planning and thinking through things. I genuinely liked it, and it ended up being a strong alternative for me. I used it with VS Code.

**What do you dislike about Augment Code?**

There’s no specific thing I dislike about Augment. My concern is more general with AI agents: they can sometimes hallucinate when working within a context window, and the larger the context, the higher the chances of hallucinations. That’s not something unique to Augment.

That said, I’d really love it if they could adjust their pricing plans for individuals. I’m on the business plan, and it’s great.

**What problems is Augment Code solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me with my day-to-day tasks as an SWE and noticeably boosts my productivity, especially when I’m working on UML and architecture. Like other IDEs, it does a great job understanding my prompts, and I find the UI user-friendly, clean, and easy to navigate.

  ### 4. Fast, Accurate Code Suggestions That Boost Productivity Across Projects

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shailendra g. | Software Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Augment Code?**

It understands my code well and gives suggestions that are actually useful.
It saves me time while writing and refactoring code.
I like that it works well with different languages and frameworks I use.
It helps me find small mistakes early, so debugging becomes easier.

**What do you dislike about Augment Code?**

It can be a little slow when working with large projects.
Sometimes it gives the same suggestion in different ways, which is not very helpful.
I wish it understood the project context better in some cases.

**What problems is Augment Code solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It reduces the time I spend writing repetitive code.
It helps me understand unfamiliar code faster.
It catches small mistakes while coding, so I spend less time debugging.
It lets me focus more on the logic instead of writing boilerplate code.

  ### 5. My Go-To Tool for Smarter Coding

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Augment Code?**

What I like best about Augment Code is how seamlessly it fits into my day-to-day workflow. I rely on it heavily for agentic coding, and it consistently feels like a smart, proactive partner rather than just another coding tool. Its ability to connect with different AI models is a huge plus - it gives me flexibility depending on the task, and I can switch between models without disrupting my flow. Overall, it makes complex coding tasks feel quicker and more intuitive, which has really boosted my productivity.

**What do you dislike about Augment Code?**

There isn’t much I dislike, but there are a few areas where Augment Code could improve. Occasionally, the agentic workflows feel a bit slower than expected, especially on larger tasks. Also, while the model-switching feature is great, I wish the UI made it a little easier to compare model capabilities side by side. These aren’t dealbreakers, but smoothing them out would make the overall experience even better.

**What problems is Augment Code solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Augment Code helps streamline a lot of the repetitive or time-consuming parts of my development process. With its agentic coding capabilities, it can break down tasks, generate boilerplate, explore solutions, and even refactor code without me having to micromanage every step. This saves me a lot of mental overhead and lets me focus on higher-level design decisions. The option to use different AI models is also a big advantage, since I can choose the one that fits the task best - whether I need speed, creativity, or deep reasoning. Overall, it reduces friction in my workflow and makes me noticeably more productive day to day.

  ### 6. Impressive Context Engine, But Beware of Unreliable Promises

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Augment Code?**

Their context Engine Works better that most other AI tools.

**What do you dislike about Augment Code?**

They are a bunch of fraudsters. They recently changed their pricing policy, nudging people to upgrade the plan through Reddit, promising various things about the revise plans. Post upgrade they removed all the benefits and went back on their promise. They are very prone to a legal tangle, and may gobble up your money in the interim

**What problems is Augment Code solving and how is that benefiting you?**
