It gave businesses the ability to generate a living and always changing risk & controls matrix. It is very straightforward and user friendly for new users. Additionally, they continue to innovate with new features based on their customer's feedback often. Recently, they have also made big strides in customer support, leveraging AI which has provided us quicker and more tailored solutions. **What do you dislike about Optro?** While Optro is fairly flexible, there are some limitations like its control hierarchy in Controls Management. Entity -> Process -> Subprocess really only allows you L2 to L3 process levels and you may not create more process levels than that. I wish the SOX risk assessment feature was more robust and allowed for more streamlined mapping of control setup and chart of accounts. So currently, we still use Excel to do our scoping. Also, if you have mulitple ERPs with various charts of accounts, this gets more complex and will take hard work to map everything out. **What problems is Optro solving and how is that benefiting you?** Maintaining an inventory of SOX controls that can be actively maintained. Updates to those controls can be controlled and ownership can be assigned to control / process owners in the system itself. Actually, there are a number of features that I don't like, but have brought up to the community and made suggestions for improvements. However, the community suggestion list shows that less than 1% of suggestions are taken, including small quality of life items. The biggest drawback from my perspective is that there still isn't a functioinal method of performing attribute testing within the program - this has been in the works at AuditBoard for years now, but no updates have been made after a very poor initial process. Reports and advanced features, such as API Dashboards are also terrible. I've had meetings for almost a year with AB tech team and have yet to get it functioning. I've even suggested they update their reports and was litterally told they won't be doing that. **What problems is Optro solving and how is that benefiting you?** Communicating with both clients and external auditors. The layout and navigation are clear for non-technical user to adopt quickly. Platform GRC capabilities for managing enterprise risks, internal audits and compliance workflow are sufficient for basic workflow. The new reporting tool via 'Connected Dashboard' looks promising and I hope there are continuous effort to improve this feature. **What do you dislike about Optro?** Poor implementation. The data mapping and permission design is a mess to administer. Very limited when it comes to workflow that require higher level of customization to meet business needs. The out of the box solution is limited in customization whether it be creating new form templates, risk assessment, workstream survey and reports generation. Expect a lot of work-around or response from support to have it request a potential feature in the future. One of the more frustrating aspects has been the support experience. Tier 1 support often acts as bottleneck, especially for complex issues that clearly require escalation to the product manager or engineering team member. We have encountered delays in resolution due to prolonged back-and-forth before a case is handed off to Tier 2 or Product support. **What problems is Optro solving and how is that benefiting you?** The platform has help with consolidating our GRC data and enhance visibility of the program to our organization. ### 46. It was an easy implementation process. We have been using it for a few years now, and when new employees start, they are able to jump right in with how intuitive they are with their features. We get great support for customizations and with our dashboards. The dashboard capabilities are amazing and beyond helpful to keep us on track and for reference. I use them all the time to guide me what I should be working on. These are also so helpful for the management team as this is where the data and analytics can really help change the way we work. We have also been using WorkStream which is so great when you have to reach out to a large population.
