The tech support people are very responsive and have solved every problem I've asked them. Auction participants have not had any difficulty figuring out how to register or bid. Setting up our first auction was a bit tricky, but now we just import that one and change the things that need changing. Recently I've discovered that we can also sell event tickets through it. Our auctions have been so successful that we intend to keep running them online through Auctria even after the pandemic is over. **What problems is Auctria solving and how is that benefiting you?** Running fundraising auctions; selling event tickets. Ticket sales, online bidding, raffles, and even acknowedgement letters. Syncing with processor vendors was easy and I loved that I could put it in test mode to really get a feel for it before going live. **What do you dislike about Auctria?** I wish there was a better interface on mobile for the admin side of things. The app is fine for patrons, though it's really just the same thing that's on the web except for notifications. It also doesn't run on older phones and ipads which was frustrating. **What problems is Auctria solving and how is that benefiting you?** We used it for our first fundraiser in a long time. The pay-later function was confusing for some users as well. It would help if this could be personalized with more detail. **What problems is Auctria solving and how is that benefiting you?** Because of gathering restrictions, we needed an alternate platform for fundraising. Not only did it fill that void but it also grew engagement. Our auctions now have a longer duration, engage a larger audience and raise more funds. As we got to use it, it became easier for all of us. Closing auctions was easy, and we could download various forms and reports that made follow-up a breeze! This is my first year in my position at a non-profit, so I have never done an online auction, but my boss had said that last year, they used a different site. They ran into multiple issues, for example- on the night of the auction they had to scramble last minute to get the final numbers (they even had to write out a budget on a piece of paper to figure this number out). With Auctria, it was very apparent how much we had raised from the very beginning to the last dollar raised. She also had reservations about printing receipts for our customers, because last year it was very difficult to get bidder statements, and this took them about a month to process. I had the bidder statements printed off days after our event and ready to mail out. In addition to all of this, every time I came across an issue or needed help, I would receive an email response super quickly. Also, there are hundreds of easy-to-understand help pages and webinars. Overall, we were both very impressed by Auctria's platform. **What do you dislike about Auctria?** I had very few issues, but what I would like to see improved upon would be the display options- for instance, when I wanted to see certain columns on the "All Bidders" or "All Items" page, I would need to submit my preferences every time I went to the page. I would like to have those preferences saved so that when I navigate away from the page and come back, the same columns would appear. I also only discovered some features by accident or completely on my own- It would have been nice to have a bit more of an overview of the features early on without needing to watch webinars. **What problems is Auctria solving and how is that benefiting you?** As stated above, we chose this platform over another one that had been used years prior. Initially, we chose it because we wanted to be set apart from other fundraisers- it seems like everyone uses the same platform so we wanted something different. But we quickly realized other benefits. The bidder's website is attractive and easy for people to navigate. **What do you dislike about Auctria?** We would have loved to be able to customize the donation intake form to meet our needs. **Recommendations to others considering Auctria:** Watch the webinars, find someone locally who has used the product. We can download XLS data documents and manipulate them to answer questions about the effectiveness and timing of our marketing, optimal bid values, etc. We have realized that having an online auction (as opposed to an in-person, silent auction) is much more profitable! We have three times as many bidders participating and earn a higher value from all items. I highly recommend the Diamond or Emerald plan in Auctria because it comes with chat support and the ability to attach a sales tax to tangible items in your auction. The chat support was critical to my successful auction - the support people were always SO fast and helpful, and the sales tax feature allowed my nonprofit to charge sales tax on top of items rather than having to take it out of our own earnings (this is so important as we need every dollar that we can get). Our online auction was so successful that we raised $30k for my nonprofit, and we're going to use Auctria to host an online auction next year as well! This was our first year holding an online auction and it was amazing. **What do you dislike about Auctria?** The one thing that Auctria can improve is to make designing your own website a bit easier for people who know how to code with HTML. We found it a bit difficult to create a good-looking website as there weren't a ton of options for us to change. In fact, I just wish that there were more options when creating the website - for example, it would have been nice to allow people to sort items from low to high value. We can do this on the back end automatically, but the user isn't allowed to sort. **What problems is Auctria solving and how is that benefiting you?** Because of Auctria, we now don't have to lug everything out for a silent auction in-person. People had so much fun bidding online that we're giong to keep using this model. Typically the backend/NPO user side is overwhelming, frustrating, or confusing, generally due to a steep learning curve and few clear or thorough training materials or tutorials. It should not take a full-time staffer several weeks to learn how to use a bidding platform. The Auctria experience is the opposite of that: incredibly detailed guides with text, photos and often videos, and organized in such an intuitive sidebar that it is - and I know this is hard to believe - actually (dare I say) FUN to use. I helped a small client during COVID create a 240-item online auction out of their canceled event. I did 100% of the website creation (easy to edit, drag-n-drop templates provided), the uploading of photos, reorganizing items multiple times, registration, bidding alerts, all of it. And. it.was.so.Easy. **What do you dislike about Auctria?** There's nothing I dislike, but I have not used the virtual event/streaming capability yet. The online auction customization is the best in the business, however. **What problems is Auctria solving and how is that benefiting you?** Auctria is super affordable (honestly, other software charges 5 times as much for a more difficult interface). It's very, very fast to get an auction from zero to online in literally a matter of hours, not days.
